Another great video! I don't know if u know but the Honda S2000 was originally designed to be a supercharged car by Honda, according to publications I've read HKS had a 37 million dollar contract in the works with Honda to supercharg the car for them that is one reason why Honda design the S2000 with forged internals to handle a proposed 315 HP rating that HKS guaranteed Honda. Plans fell threw when Honda realized it would boost the base price 8-10k dollars and also Honda was concerned about it being faster than the Honda NSX..so that killed it, but it's good to know that at least it was part of it's original design.. just thought I'd throw that out to you Incase ya didn't know that, and I love ur yellow Honda S2000!
Woah! No way, I didn't know that! I know the car feels amazing with the SC'er but then again I can't think of a time I've driven any SC'd car and not loved it, lol! Thanks for the info, I had no idea! 👍
For the KW kit? I basically used ALL ARP hardware. Anywhere there was a bolt, I basically replaced it with an ARP bolt. Then I also made sure I had the updated mounting kit from KW. Most new kits have them, the kit I bought was old so it wasn't included. Then after that, it's all about belt tension! Just keep an eye on that and you'll be GTG!
I would still change your exhaust and tune it down to the power u want... i can't imagine all the air getting trapped in the exhaust is good for ur car...it might give it heating issues which is already a problem with the s2k in race tracks..
Yeah, that's a good point too. Maaaaannnnn...I wish I could have the Mugen exhaust...just...bigger, lol. Well, at least I know I can sell the Mugen exhaust for a decent amount!
Yoo! Man, I think in this video it was low, it was like, 315 or something. I had a VERY constrictive Mugen exhaust...awesome for NA...not awesome for FI, lol. I've since updated to T1R Dual Sparrow, that helped bring the WHP to about 360.
Oooh yeah, 100000%. I was just talking to a buddy about that! I think it'll be a close race! I think the E36 will lead up till about 65-75...then I think the S2k will pass it. It'll be good tho!
