Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art. Developed for the Israel Defense Forces. It is built for self defense situations and uses simple but effective techniques. Weapons training is also a big part of the practice students will often train offensive and defensive knife and gun techniques and tactics.
Grandmaster Moti Horenstein, born and raised in Israel, discovered his passion for martial arts at a young age. Beginning with judo at the age of 5, he found discipline, balance, and confidence through the sport. His father later enrolled him in Hisardut, a training system combining judo, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, and Krav-Maga, under the guidance of Dr. Dennis Hanover. Dr. Hanover's influence and strict training prepared Grandmaster Moti for his service in the Israeli Defense Forces, where he served in the Airborne Special Forces and commando divisions. His army experience, including fighting in the Lebanon War, left a lasting impact on him, shaping his mindset and survival skills. Continuing his martial arts journey, Grandmaster Moti achieved notable titles and championships in different styles, including becoming a world champion kickboxer. He also holds a ninth-degree Black Belt in Hisardut Krav-Maga and a Black Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In 1992, he established the Survival Center, which later expanded to three locations, where he shared his knowledge and expertise through teaching seminars to various organizations. Grandmaster Moti's commitment to constant growth and development drives him to provide his students with the best techniques in the Survival Hisardut System. Additionally, he holds the distinction of being the first Israeli UFC fighter.
In this video, Moti emphasizes the importance of never hesitating in a self-defense situation. Instead, he demonstrates how to use a rear choke to control an opponent.

It's a technique commonly used by doormen, and a good way of ejecting someone from premises without hurting them. And yes, it does rely on the element of surprise, and needs plenty of practice to make it work.

Placing the left hand behind the neck and applying the choke is a three second sleep. Gracie choke. This guy, ten seconds.

The people who say this doesn't work have not been in a real fight. It takes practice so you have muscle memory. Drunks are easy to beat.

No ones gonna come at you like that in street fight cos they'll be aggressive and be coming at with punches so the choke hold would certainly not work, what would work is before they hit.... you punch them first and real hard if they get to your personal space

The reason you will never see this in the ufc or any other real fight is because it doesn’t work. Try doing that to a resisting attacker.

Rear naked chokes happen in mma all the time

@@exiledhebrew1994 cheers for letting me know, i didn’t know rear naked chokes happened in mma. Hahaha. Sarcasm of course. However, my point was obviously about how they happen, you can’t just turn someone around and get them in a rear naked choke. Most people can’t even do chokes, so even if you let them on your back you could get out, so you need to let his todo them properly. But to say you can just turn someone coming at you and cinch a rear naked choke up that easily how’s me the guy can’t fight and has never been properly attacked by a resisting attacker. Just like watching pressure point guys and no touch ninjas. No different, all bullshit.

@@RicStaR2410 it’s not that unrealistic if you catch the person by surprise. It’s similar to a sucker punch. If it’s an untrained opponent, most people have no grappling experience, and attacking the throat is practical because it’s a weak area. Is it guaranteed to work 100 percent of the time? Obviously not, but no technique is.

@@exiledhebrew1994 no technique really works at all, having training and back ups work. This move would work against women and children and men who are much much weaker than you, who are usually not the types of people attacking you. And how can you surprise attack an attacker? That’s not a sucker punch kind of thing. If anyone tried to just push me around like that it would not work unless they were a lot stronger, and even then we would probably get into a scuffle for position, not just fall into a naked choke, no way. It’s nonsense and it needs to not be spread because the people who are listening to it, are the people that need the trap training the most and if they believe it, they will get hurt even more. Trained people would not use this shit, so it’s untrained against untrained usually and people are worse under pressure.

@@RicStaR2410 this move is designed to neutralize a target before a fight starts. Obviously not for defending against women but against untrained opponents, tweaker, or angry drunk. Yeah, obviously if your going against a trained fighter, you have to use different methods. But this technique is not for going against trained fighters

Everyone that tries to do this goofy move will now be wide open for a knockout punch instead of stepping back and getting ready to defend themselves. Congratulations on getting people hurt smh
