Ok so the first trailer for Kraven The Hunter has just hit the web and throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down the easter eggs, hidden details and things you missed in it.

Your friendly neighbourhood spoiler-man is back and in this I wanna talk about what we know about the film along with what's been shown in the teaser. There's also lots of comic book things to discuss too and incase you're unaware of Kraven then this is the video you've been Kraving. Sony are making a lot of noise with him at the moment and we also know that he's due to appear in the upcoming Spider-man 2 game.
That seems to be based loosely on the Ultimate Comics run which had him travelling to New York to tackle the web head whereas this is gonna be more of an origin story. In the comics he was a big enemy to Peter and he was also known as Petas worst enemy. Ey.
However things have been changed up for this with the film adaptation being described as an animal lover.
He also has his own meta human abilities now with a lion attack leading to him being able to doctor doolittle things and communicate with Animals. This is an extra layer that hasn't been in the comics before with him employing wolves and so on. This is because he refused to shoot a lion under the direction from his father and this then lept out and attacked him.

They didn't tone Carnage down, as with any Spider-Man or Venom comic with Cletus in it, those books aren't for mature audiences only and already show Carnage's rampages in a PG-13 friendly way. Venom is NOT Deadpool or the Punisher and a R rating doesn't mean anything for quality.

While I hope the R-Rating is used appropriately for storytelling as Kraven can be a more brutal hands-on character, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't do too well in box office returns. I really wouldn't be surprised if Vulture and Morbius show up in the final post credit scene and say something like," You want to hunt a spider?" further alluding to Sony's Sinister Six.

I don't know what I expected, but I definitely didn't expect were-lion-bro. I think I would've been on-board with him having graduated from hunting everything from lions to Orcas to deciding man was the most dangerous animal and then hunting everything from warlords to cartel heads to other killers - maybe even killing his father before then progressing in his insanity and then deciding powered humans (hero-villain dichotomy being irrelevant) were the ultimate prizes, starting with a small kill and then maybe on his next hunt being Rhino having that interrupted by Spider-Man, with the film ending with him beaten for the first time. A down-note to end on but he's a psychopath, he shouldn't get a triumphant ending unless it's him escaping (or being broken out of) prison. Thus he's set for fixating and obsessing on Spider-Man, building specialized traps and weapons for defeating him specifically.

I had high hopes originally, I always wanted to see Mamoa in this role but I think Taylor-Johnson could do it justice and the fact that it’s R-Rating gives me hope but I’m not sure about the character changes but I hope they prove me wrong.., I just think for once can they not stick to the core of the character, it’s all because they’re scared of someone getting upset but this character and others aren’t supposed to be nice and fully likeable it’s a villain. The comics are going the same way, soon they’ll be no villains for the good guys to fight 😂

This looks surprisingly good and is carried by an excellent lead actor. He has really grown over the years, and is a force of nature now. Love that its not overly funny undermining its own drama, looks brutal and badass, like The Punisher as a Druid. I like the more complex take on the character, instead of just being a russian aristocrat trophy hunter villain, would feel pretty one note. This is more of an anti-hero like Punisher or Blade and that feels right.

Well I have the feeling that if there’s a Spider-Man existing in the “Kraven The Hunter” universe that it’s probably be Andrew Garfield’s version, because that’s the version of Spider-Man I think will be appearing in “Kraven The Hunter 2”, but in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” the Rhino was played by Paul Giamatti. So I got the feeling this is a version of the Rhino from the MCU, but he’s just like the Vulture in “Morbius” where Doctor Strange’s spell sends him to Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man universe, but I have a theory about what’ll happen with the Vulture & the Rhino. And the same thing’ll happen to the Rhino when he’s getting ready to transform after he says “do you know why they call me the Rhino,” but he doesn’t get a chance to fully transform, because he teleports again. But he also teleports to Miles Morales’ Spider-Man universe, and he’ll be in “Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse” too.

Im calling it now... Chameleon will be in disguise as russell crowe's character. The 'present' father and chameleons actor wont be in the same scenes with kraven. Im betting that chameleon kills and takes over as his dad before the movie even begins. It'll be crowe in the flashbacks but rhe big reveal will be crowe turning into the brother chameleon, revealing he killed their dad and is the one after him as he always hated him for being his true self inspite of their dad and for escaping the life.

In the comics (Earth-92131), Kraven was given a special mixture of herbs called the "Calypso Serum" by Mariah Crawford. He had been assigned to protect her, when hunting became outlawed in Africa he turned to tour-guiding. Mariah was looking for a colleague that had gone missing (Dr. James Reeves), so she and her team hired Kraven as their security detail. She and Kraven fell in love while in search of Reeves, and when they eventually found him Reeves gave Mariah the serum. Apparently he had been using it to protect himself in the wild (it gives the user super-human abilities), but he warned her of the side effects (you basically turn feral). Mariah got rushed by a pack of hyenas one day and Kraven got injured protecting her, as he was dying she gave him the serum. It saved his life but drove him to become increasingly more animalistic, eventually leading him in search of other super-humans including Spider-man. So, to be fair, Kraven having powers was always canonical. He's just "super-powered" in the way that Captain America is (in the comics at least), it's a serum and not some kind of cosmic magic. I think the reason they're going with the blood infection here is to keep in theme with the nature of other in-universe characters and how they got their powers. Banner was "infected" by his father's blood (he inherited the results of his father's experimentation), Spider-man's blood was infected by a spider (that was in turn created from his father's blood in some universes), the Rhino in this trailer seems to be infected, even Norman Osborn's blood was "infected" when he injected himself with the CX-00009 performance enhancer that turned him into the Green Goblin (in part). There's something of a theme there.

Great breakdown. Loved the trailer. Very similar powerset to the Beastmaster. I hope they get Wolverine right in the MCU when the time comes. It'd be a shame if Kraven was a better Wolverine than Wolverine. lol.

They're making him a mutant. The lions blood gets into his blood and he gets them animal like powers. Then we saw the Rhino taking something that makes him transform into the Rhino. I thought the Rhino was one of the sinister 6? I'm wondering if they'll end up teaming up at the end? They have the sinister 6 now after this movie comes out. I'm wondering if they'll have a post credit scene of the sinister 6 getting together to go after Spiderman or it'll be about him going after Spiderman next. Either way it looks like they're heading in that direction.

I have recently watched the Kraven episodes of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon on Disney+, so this was good timing. I don't think MCU fans like my Mom are gonna like all the blood.
