Johann Ludwig Krebs Fantasie in F-Dur, Krebs-WV 419 VPO software: Hauptwerk VII Played on the Ahrend organ, Regensburg, sampled by Pipeloops: www.pipeloops.c... Sheet music on IMSLP: imslp.org/wiki... #hauptwerk
This is a great practice piece for any organ student. Legato, staccato, semi quavers left and right, the accompanying left hand that climbs to the melody. Nice piece and very well played. You can let us think that is easy stuff to play. But it isn’t do zo know from my own experience. Well done!
Glad to hear some Krebs' music on your channel! Love this fantasia, I remember that heard it at first performed by Beatrice-Maria Weinberger, like another Krebs' pieces. Thanks!
Wow. what a great piece!! Shows the Galant style!! This is another one of those pieces that one asks the question: why don't more people play it? You always play superbly, Ralph!
Thanks for listening. You're right, as a stand-alone piece it's probably too short for a concert. However you could try to combine it with some other Krebs pieces, or just with a Fugue in F-dur. That always works nicely.
Great playing, Ralph. What a short and sweet gem of a composition by Krebs this is. Sounds like he wrote it on a sunny summer's day, happy thinking of going outdoors and do whatever it is one did on a hot summer's day in the 18th century 😄
Really very convincingly played, Ralph. Great registration and articulation. I must confess that I often have my problems finding an approach to Krebs, but the positive summery attitude of the work is hard to resist.
