What a fanatic job on reviewing this product. You are concise and articulate. The video editing, sound and lighting were spot on. It appears you have an aptitude for teaching. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Thanks so much!! Really appreciate the kind words. We really try to provide quality over quantity. We have so much more to come during the build of our houses and after as we develop our homestead. Thanks for watching!!

Hey Dean. We used it yesterday all day long and it works great. I like that when not using it you can fold it up and it takes far less space than a standard saw horse. Terry

Thanks for the review. Be aware that how the Kreg Automaxx clamps work (brilliantly) is that you don't adjust the tensioner based on the thickness of the stock - the tensioner only adjusts the amount of clamping pressure you want to apply on the workpiece. That said, the tensioner adjustment could be much improved so that it isn't so small and finicky to adjust and I often find myself having to look for needle nose pliers so I can actually turn the tensioner which is small and can be tight - Kreg if you are listening, please consider a redesign on that - like a larger and freestanding knob off the end of the clamp so it is easier and more accurate to do by hand? However once set, you likely rarely need to adjust it. I have my entire workshop rolling around on Kreg Universal Benches and switched out the Kreg Mobile Project Center stands I had for these Track Horses for the lighter weight and portability and as pointed out in the video the ability to stand up a full 4x8 track-saw panel cutting bench anywhere and tear it down within 3 minutes.

They are very useful. We will be painting on them. They will be handy throughout the entire build process of our two house from rough in to finish. Great investment!! And they fold up to near nothing so you do not have two saw horses taking up the entire back of your truck. Very very happy with them. Terry

I’m really glad you did this review, Brian. Now that I’m getting a little long in the tooth, it’s become more of an issue lugging stuff around to whatever I’m working on. Which, God willing and the creek don’t rise, I hope to keep doing for awhile yet! Been using the plastic horses, which I’ve been ok with. But these are perfect and even more versatile. Definitely buying a pair. Maybe even two.

Cool. Anything to save time and energy allows you more energy for fun or as in our case most of the time its more energy and time to do more work, ha ha. I hear ya on getting a few years behind you. I plan on staying active until I drop or am just not able to make myself move. Tools can make it easier. I think staying active is a key factor in a long and healthy life. My mom still works at 76 and goes dancing several nights a week plus is always helping out her friends and family who are unable to do for themselves. She cleans house for a couple who are in their mid 60's because they are not able and she again is 76! Terry

Brian, thanks for the review of the Kreg Trac Horse. I was debating to make this purchase but not I am sold. I can't wait until Terry and you get back to the property. Again, thank you for sharing your experience.

Hey John! You're welcome. They really are great units, very handy when you've got limited space. We are currently building a table unit for them and it's going to get a ton of use! We can't wait to get back on the property too! But the house is a disaster with this kitchen remodel going on so we've got to finish it first, haha. Thanks for following along! Brian

@ForestToFarm
@ForestToFarm Год назад
Yeah it tough buying lots of tools because of price. If you use them its worth it. If you are doing a job yourself and saving money you can justify slowly accumulating quality tools. Better tools can make the job go better and faster most of the time. Plus aside from doing my own work at just about anything I really do not have any hobbies that require money spending. Thanks for watching!! Terry

How good is the paint? How thick is the steel? I mean to say that the holes in the adjustable legs seem like ground zero for eventual bubbling paint and rust.
@ForestToFarm
@ForestToFarm 5 лет назад
Hey Craig. Honestly the paint seems to be of good quality. It seems like powder coat but I can not be sure of that. I think with proper handling its going to last a good long time. Of course as with anything if left laying out in the weather continuously its going to break down eventually. Terry

Would that be a concern if you never left them out in the rain consistently? Even the occasional wedding shouldn't cause this to happen. Maybe you live in Miami? :-)

Hi There. Nice video. But I am pretty sure that the side rails are not 2" thickness and 4" width. Can you please confirm it? thanks a lot

Hey, in America a "2x4" is actually measured at "1 1/2x3 1/2". It used to be actually 2'x4' but things keep getting smaller. Terrry

to me, a guy with decades in the business i compare these innovations to cellphones. there very cool, well made, useful,&cost big bucks. a carpenter can replicate everything these saw horses do for a fraction of the cost. but i get it. some guys need the latest and greatest. buy heavy gauge metal folding saw horses and screw a 2x4 to it.
@ForestToFarm
@ForestToFarm 3 года назад
That would work for sure. We improvise all the time. Gotta say though those saw horses are really very nice and set up is quick and solid. Terry
@coppulor6500
@coppulor6500 Год назад
For someone that has very little space to work with, traditional sawhorses take up way too much room. That includes a pick em up truck, not just a garage. If u have a step van etc, oerhaps not a big deal. The way I see it, no reason to take up space when something can collapse. I have the old school yellow steel sawhorses. They are heavy enough to be annoying and are time consuming to extend in height/leg length and you have to go through the same process to retract them so that you The legs will fold up back inside the sawhorse properly. I have the Bora collapsible flip top rolling miter station because I work out of my garage and the love of my life has a fucking billion tubs in the garage full of crap so my options are limited. If I can save space, that's worth something to me and a lot of other people. And like I said, if I were working on site compactness and portability of these and similar saw horses is definitely worth it. It was tools like this, I always find it amusing how people balk at the prices. If it's going to save you time and eliminates a perceived annoyance or irritation, then you'll make that money back pretty quickly. If you could show up to a site and press a button on a remote on your key fob and an entire workstation would roll out of your truck and set up automatically, how much would that be worth? How much would you pay for something that might save you 45 minutes a day every single day (set up and breakdown)? Do you have cordless tools? Why would you pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for batteries when you can plug everything in or bring a generator? Same reason here. I suspect absolutely nobody enjoys set up and teardown. Wasted time. I want to get to work on my project asap and when I'm done, I want to waste as little time packing up and then trying to stuff everything into a limited space.
@southsidebaynuts

as with other kreg tools....... to many parts you have to store or keep track of. some guys are good with that but most are not. throwing this system in your truck only to be used every other job? but thats just me
