Full Disclosure: I know and LOVE this song and performance by Kristin Chenoweth. Is it a reaction? I mean, yes. It makes me burst into tears of joy and laughter that shakes the room above me. Am I that noisy neighbor? Have you heard my opera voice emit from my singing hole?
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Kristin Chenoweth for probably the hundred and sixth time, performing "The Girl in 14G” live.

I can see having Elizabeth as that noisy neighbor. You're trying to get in a nap after a hard day at work, but she's singing an opera cover of "Demolisher" at the top of her lungs. You bang on her door, she opens the door wide-eyed and laughing. You lean forward and firmly state "I'm sorry, I'm losing some of the words, could you possibly sing louder?" Anyway, I am not familiar with this song but it's impossible not to smile when Elizabeth is having that much fun.

My favorite story is when she was practicing for wicked, and was up in the bubble in the wings, and a break was called, and everyone walked away and forgot her. She got their attention by hitting a high g for a long moment, and the stage hands all came running.

This is the first time I've seen anyone reacting to Kristin singing this song. This was so much fun! I've been such a fan of Kristin's, and it was great, so great to have someone who knows what she's talking about give us an idea of the technique, heart, passion, and talent to be able to perform such a tour de force.

I'm really glad you had a reaction to this. I was just at my niece's high school graduation party in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and she sang 8 pieces. This was one of them. My niece absolutely nailed the Broadway singing in this. It sounded exactly like Kristin. She's a very good opera singer as well, but she's only 18, so she'll get even better with the breath control, but she can belt. We had to tell my brother to speak up when he was giving the "commencement" speech, because Hannah doesn't need much microphone. I was happy with myself that after congratulating her, I told her I recognized the Mozart bit in it. She seemed pleasantly surprised. I don't think she realized I listen to more than just rock n' roll. Some other opera pieces she did were "Solveig's Song" "O Mio Babbino", and "Bel Piacere" along with a few musical numbers from movies. At least some people have noticed, she's got a music scholarship for Viterbo University in the fall, where her older sister, also a very good opera singer, went to study.

I sooo much loved this!... THIS is perfection... because it wasn't ABOUT perfection... in the first place..it was about joy, humor, playfulness, telling a story... and boy! did she deliver... she made it look so easy... actually she was acting singing and dancing at the same time... she was owning the stage! But still giving the audience the impression of "this is just a fun Song" ! ... a true master !

Ok, watched it now. Wonderful wonderful breakdown! I am a pianist, pipe organist, I dabble in accordion, and I'm not an AWFUL singer, but not a trained one either. My piano teacher in my original hometown is a musical genius, but while he could always hit a note singing, he had no vocal talent. When I was 18, I went to a karaoke bar, one of the rare ones where the regulars could all sing well, and I decided I didn't want to be that. My vocal warmup at karaoke/song that help teach me to sing was Mack the Knife. It goes up in pitch almost every verse, so a nice little thing, and ends in some long notes to learn some good breath control! Despite that, I still have never taken a voice lesson in m life, but I really enjoy your channel, and as a classically trained pianist, I grew up in some very operatic circles, but later found a love for musical theatre, so here I am! I have never suggested anything to a RU-vid reactor before (or I don't think I have) but I very, very highly recommend you dabble in some Lake Street Dive. I first heard them on CBC radio here in Canada, and the song began with this innocuous, but groovy) bass line. Then Rachael Price's voice comes in like she owns the planet (that song is Bobby Tanqueray). Best song on that album (called Bad Self Portraits) is You Go Down Smooth, IMO, and the one they just dropped, Set Sail is just wonderful! But since you're more about the vocals, I very highly recommend Just Ask. There's a moment in the bridge where she holds a note, and changes the tone of her voice a few times. I feel like you'd enjoy that band!

Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerard's voice ... One of the most fascinating things in the modern music history .... Just take "Cantara" from Towards the Within. It WILL leave you speachless
