I wish more people would have considered doing this to their vehicles the last 50 years, we'd have more classics on the road today

I asked them to NOT use a brush on my new vehicle. !! They did not. They used a microfiber towel or something. I did have to clean it up when I got home. But it was great. Great investment!

I went to this shop. They are pro know what they are doing for sure. Good product and anyone worried about the dripping out of doors onto body dont worry, doesnt hurt paint. Non toxic spray too. I would ask them to cover your cold air intake filter though next time ;)
@that3ggt
@that3ggt Год назад
Thanks for your comment! I need to replace this filter anyway but you're right that's a good idea for next year. Also gonna tell them that I don't want them to use that brush to clean the paint aha

Krown this krown that, hears my experience, 1987 toyota 4x4, krowned, rusted out in the seams no krown or toyota would give any compensation or fix, 1997 taco, krowned again from new, and washed often to get that salt off, frame rusted out 20 years later and guess what no krown or toyota would pony up, have a 2000 ford ranger not crowned and still on the road.
@that3ggt
@that3ggt Год назад
Im sorry to hear that but Krown Oil spray is designed to prevent rust, not accelerate it. Krown Oil is a corrosion inhibitor that works by coating metal surfaces and displacing any moisture that may cause rust or corrosion. When applied properly, it forms a barrier that helps to protect the metal from further rust formation. However, if rust is already present on the metal surface, Krown Oil spray cannot reverse or repair the damage that has already been done. It is important to clean and remove any rust before applying Krown Oil spray for best results.
@fb9479
@fb9479 Год назад
@@that3ggt yup prevent rust, they gaurantee it, applied when vehicles were new, the warrantee is snake oil possibly somewhere in the world they have fixed the rust issues just never heard or seen it.
@that3ggt
@that3ggt Год назад
It seems you had a negative experience with using Krown, a rust protection product, on your vehicles. The mention of the 1987 Toyota 4x4 rusting out in the seams despite being Krowned suggests you had expected the product to fully prevent rust, but was disappointed when it did not. They also mentioned that neither Krown nor Toyota would offer compensation or fix the issue, indicating a possible frustration with the lack of support from the companies involved. You then mentioned their 1997 Toyota Tacoma, which was Krowned and washed often to remove salt, but still developed frame rust 20 years later. This experience may have reinforced their negative view of Krown and its effectiveness in preventing rust. Finally, you mentioned their 2000 Ford Ranger, which was not Krowned but is still on the road, suggesting that they believe not using a rust protection product may have been more effective in preventing rust. Overall, your experience with using Krown may have led you to be skeptical of the effectiveness of rust protection products in general. While you may have had a negative experience with Krown, it's important to note that everyone's experience may vary based on factors such as the age and condition of the vehicle, the environment it's used in, and the maintenance practices of the owner. In my personal experience, I've been using Krown products for 2 years now and have not encountered any issues with rust. However, I understand that this is a relatively short period of time compared to the person's experience with their Toyota vehicles. It's also worth noting that no rust protection product can completely guarantee that rust will never form on a vehicle. While these products can certainly help prevent rust, other factors such as exposure to salt and moisture can still contribute to rust formation over time. Overall, it's important to consider a variety of factors when evaluating the effectiveness of a rust protection product and to be aware that different people may have different experiences with the same product.

@@fb9479 20 years later?????? Nowhere in your posts do you mention that you had your car RE-treated each year. I'm suspecting that you had it done ONCE and complain about 30+ year old vehicles rusting.

Great product, but when they wash it with the brush thats just scratching up your paint. Let them wash the glass but dont touch the paint.
@that3ggt
@that3ggt Год назад
I'm actually a detailer so I am quite aware the brush is scratching the paint but the truth is it's my daily. I use a snow brush on this car in the winter and it already had swirl marks when I bought it used. I would be hollering for them to stop if I had spent some serious coin on paint correction already, but with the current condition, the brush they use can't be worse for the paint then the spinning brushes you would find in the car washes. You aren't wrong though, the brushes are terrible for your paint and I was cringing when I saw them do it to the 3G. Thx for watching!

Should you wash your car before you bring it in or do they take car of that?
@that3ggt
@that3ggt Год назад
I would personally get a wash before but they say it doesn't matter. My opinion is to get the vehicle as clean as possible before the appointment so that way the oil has a clean surface to adhere to.

Is there a black krown oil spray?
@that3ggt
@that3ggt 15 дней назад
It's a oil based product so if it does go black it would be from dirt and grim that stick to it from the road not the product itself

So nobody wears a respirator? Seeing people walking around wearing no breathing protection while spraying occurs does not look safe at all to me. Paper masks do not protect you from anything. No WHIMIS Training?
@uhhTabby

I've never seen any technicians wear one. It's usually in an open shop with the door open so it's not required.
@that3ggt
@that3ggt 4 месяца назад
The shop has the garage doors constantly being opened and there's significant amount of ventilation fan for removing the dirty air in the building. Respirator would be probably be better but they seem to have good air quality in the shop. Its not common to wear in shops here

I agree here in Canada they are too lax about the safety of their employees in the shop especially for long term health effects.
