I recently purchased a 9 year old Silverado that has spent its entire life in central New York, where salt is very heavily used on the roads. The truck has absolutely no rust! I discovered that the reason it is in such good condition is that it had been treated with Krown. I now have an appointment in five days to have it retreated at the same dealer that the previous owner used.
Great follow up. My 17 came to Minnesota from Canada in 20. It was previously Krowned. So, I drove 2.5 hrs into Wisconsin to get it Krowned again. There are some spots that look like it didn’t hold up well and there are spots you can tell it’s really doing it’s job. I’m going to hit the bare frame spots and visible rust with some aerosol Woolwax Black. I’m currently looking for videos like yours to decide if I want to switch to a full Woolwax treatment this fall.
Wow only costs $150. That’s cheap for what it does! I’m skeptical about the part where you mentioned they drilled holes? Omg to do this on a new vehicle???
i just had my 2011 caravan done today. they really soak it down and get it in every nook and cranny. ive skipped a couple years here and there and i only have a tiny bit of rust in the rear wheel well. but that is the number one spot on any car to rust and it will rust no matter what unless you keep it slathered with grease.
I got "Otoprotec" done on my '19 F150 & like you just said in the video; some products are like glue, kinda disappointed with the otoprotec since it has gotten everything stuck to the body; going to go to my brothers Krown contact this fall to clean 'er up & properly do the coating since here in QC- roads/conditions are terrible, thanks for this video for someone who was skeptical about protecting his truck!
There supposed to do a 1000 point maintance all the moving parts I have a 1998 chevy astrp thats been oiled every year since 2000 and it did still get some rusty spots but their red rust petina so its all still solid
Thank you for that video, it is hard to find to follow up after 5 years or even 10. I hope you will make one more before you sell this car.. I'm buying new car and I have miss belives about anticorrosion electric modules. This method looks like is working!
I have been using Krown since 1996 on my vehicles with zero rust problems, great product but the application differs from franchise to franchise, some are really good and apply the product just the right amount at the right places,
Unreal! Just bought a new Silverado last week and did the Krown treatment yesterday. Glad to see yours is still spotless after 5 years! How's it holding up now? Have you noticed any swelling in the weather stripping or anything?
I go to a local oil change shop that I trust and they use a product called dura shield like krown but with out the drips. cost me over $200 but my 2022 colorado cost me over 40k so it’s worth it . Unfortunately my local krown dealer sucks I took my vw jetta there a few years back and the guy/owner of the krown dealer did a half a$$ job not spraying places like under the hood ,inside my doors or the bottoms . Now I know why they blacked out the shop windows in the waiting room . The reason is so you see that they’re ripping you off . Unfortunately as good as krown is ,it doesn’t really matter if the guy spraying your vehicle does a crappy job
