I saw KRULL three times before the movie came out and he did get the Glaive back. The shot was cut. This is one of the reasons that last scene after the Fortress explodes up to the sky , has NO music.

Lol yes I agree. Even though the Glaive didn't get much air time, it was a very cool awesome weapon. Basically a giant six sided switchblade Chinese throwing star they gave you force powers to control it the way Jedi control the lightsabers when they throw it. Very effective and super cool weapon. I was also sad that it went long before it's time to. I also love that when he first tried to get it back he seemed like he was giving up and then he tried again even harder and he came so so close to getting it back but it was just in too tight. But he still wasn't giving up on the weapon and he went there to physically pull it out by hand when the beast woke up sadly. I wouldn't be letting that awesome weapon go either.

As a kid you wished the glaive worked as intended. But as an old man you can appreciate all the hard work to get the glaive, and the writer had the balls to make it fail at the end.

When Colin goes to retrieve his Glaive after The Beast fell, I thought it would have been cooler if he finds the weapon on the floor. But no body. Then suddenly, Beast/Colin comes out. And a sword fight ensues. The Beast changed into Colin earlier in the film, when it was with the Princess. It look just like the Prince. Except for it's eyes.

No I didn't I looked up the cast for the movie Kull the Conqueror and Kevin Sorbo is in it infact he plays the title character and if you don't believe me just look it up online and you'll see for yourself as this movie came out in 1997 which was just 2 years after Kevin Sorbo started the show where he played the legendary strong man so no my man I am not mistaken.

I think the culture of remakes is a bad idea. The charm of these old movies is in the adventure, the thinking of the times. If remade, I'm not saying you can't capture this, but I would like to think we should put our energy and resources into making new stories, new themes. I actually detest remakes and think it is a lack of resourceful thinking, a stagnation of culture. Let's get new stories out there, new talent, new thinking.

Wow - I remember when fantasy movies in the 80s were just so..... mediocre. The Sword and the Sorcerer ... the first Conan movie... Dungeons and Dragons. Even the better ones were flawed, either through miscasting (Mathew Broderick in Ladyhawke, Val Kilmer in Willow, Tom Cruise in Legend), or the script/direction left something to be desired (Dragonslayer, Labyrynth, Dark Crystal). Btw, Krull reminds me of the whirling blades in The Great Wall (one of the most idiotic movies I sat through.)

There wasn't a Dungeons & Dragons movie in the 80's though. There was a cartoon. The first Conan is a masterpiece. Even some of the Conan ripoffs like Beastmaster and Deathstalker were entertaining. And Val Kilmer was a badass as Madmartigan. Yeah, his American accent might have stood out but his charisma is unbeatable. Dragonslayer is one of the best dark fantasy films ever. Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is I disagree with you LOL. There are some cringey and dated 80's fantasy films like Sword of the Valiant and Hawk the Slayer, but compared to what came out in the 90's(Dragonheart, etc), I'd say the 80's had the better fantasy films.
