Jack Volta I got my first one the other day Jack 😁 got a Ninebot Z10 from speedyfeet 😎 I am now managing to do 100 yards or so on it! Baby steps 😛 trying to get the hang of doing a standing mount/push off. Finding that quite tricky, but I’m sure I’ll get there

@@mancbiker17 hello Steve to start off on a Z10 is impressive enough, I just came back from my after work flight..lol on my KS18S got it 2 months back, love this wheel, seat, speakers, & a horn, it got all the bells & whistles of an automoble except a passenger seat...lol if Im not mistaken the Z10 has that super wide tire? Wow cant believe you would start with such a big wheel! Definitely take baby steps with that beast, while training dont forget your wrist guards, helmet, elbow & knee pads after you earn your confidence & skill, wear anything you want...lol my 2 falls came within the 1st month so be extra careful. And whatever you do dont injure your shoulders they take the longest to heal ...believe me! Good luck Steve ✌

I've got my XL in April 2019 and put over 2600 Kingsong kilometers on it (not quite accurate). The mudflap and the canopy of the charging port ripped off and some clips from the shell broke on the left side, so there is a 1 cm gap on the front and on the back. It looks worse than Johns wheel, but it drives still really good and I use it every day. The most I got out of one charge was 80 km but on hilly terrain. I'm 180 lbs with gear. What John forgot to mention is why he turned off the wheel on his first break in the teahouse. There is a chance (100 % on cobblestone) that it violently shakes while trolling the wheel. It is really loud, looks kind of dangerous and is really bad for the trolly handle. If you don't want everybody staring at you it is better to turn off the wheel. Another concern is the height of the pedals. I think they're really low. When I make really sharp turns I almost always touch the ground. It can be a problem riding offroad too. But over all the XL is a really great wheel. It gets you everywhere and I would recommend it.
@wheellifejon
@wheellifejon 5 лет назад
Spot on with why I switched it off going into the tea room. If you drop it down a step while pushing it with the trolley handle it bounces up in the air and skids about causing quite a scene. I have in occasion left some rubber scorch marks on the ground too. Not the sort of thing you want to do as you enter a quiet tea room!

i have a great question! is your feet higher off the ground with a bigger wheel? i ride a onewheel xr and looking at the ks18xl feet heigth it looks about the same, i have a friend with a 14 & 16 inch wheels said there was a massive difference between the 14 and 16. is this the case?
@Speedyfeetuk
@Speedyfeetuk 5 лет назад
Yes 10-14 inch tend to be be very low, 16 upwards starts to see an increase in clearance. So have slanted footplates as well to help with this. The MSX for example: www.speedyfeet.co.uk/collections/electric-unicycle/products/msuper-x

@@Speedyfeetuk Ah, yeah, we've towed with straps or backpack straps. If the person with low battery leans back slightly, it will go many miles that way. @fazer12779 5 лет назад
27:10 If it has a 60 mile range, why did you charge it?
@Speedyfeetuk
@Speedyfeetuk 5 лет назад
Because its all very well pushing it when you are 10 steps from your front door.....another when you are in the middle of nowhere miles from home.
@wheellifejon
@wheellifejon 5 лет назад
Because no two rides are the same. We put the wheels through some extreme hill climbs that would have drained the power significantly and the last thin we wanted to do was get stuck 10 miles out with no power. Turns out I needed to charge it a bit more than I planned for! If you ride at a steady pace on good surface without much incline it will give you more range than we got by slowly crawling through undergrowth and up silly steep hills.
