the indicator with the V with wings is called the Bearing indicator. it symbolizes your butts direction with wings and is the direction your ship is pointed

Really good video on docking. Only thing I do different is, I don't like to maneuver my space station, I try to keep it steady. I bring my crafts almost parallel then select the docking port as target.
Nicely paced and well presented. Can't wait to play this game. I think the resource and colony is the time I will jump onboard. But my ultimate goal is to play with my family in multiplayer.

One of my favorite mods for KSP1 was the "docking port" UI. It was much more fun to not be worried about the camera angle and to know anyway if your movement is lateral etc. I would think they would add this to the base game of KSP2?
Great. I finally manged to do the docking in KSP2 (KSP1 worked much better I think). One question if you will. What are the DOCKING/Normal modes for. I think I have not used the mat all for the docking. Or have I? :)
Docking mode means you use the WASD keys instead of the IJKL keys for the translation. I prefer to just leave it in Normal mode so I've always got separate controls for translation and atitude adjustments. It's down to personal preference really :)
I can't get my 1A'S to land on my 1B'S let alone pair both the 1's and the 2's together. I've been trying for hours, just about lost it lol. Marker 7:30, I'm so lost.
