Come on along as we waltz on the Katy Trail along the Mighty Missouri from St. Louis to Hermann MO. I'm not sure running 53 miles just 9 weeks after being diagnosed with a stress fracture is what my doc had in mind. As it turned out, the heat and humidity were more problematic than my wonky hip. Always a good time with other runners, despite the paucity of ICE ICE BABY. Found a couple interesting versions of the Missouri Waltz, enjoy!

Another great & entertaining video, Thanks for all you do. Sorry you missed Boston but looks like you're recovered now. I'm not sure if it was you but I think I may have run into you (or a doppelganger) at a seafood restaurant in Boston after the marathon .....I wanted to tell your videos have been a humongous inspiration and when I was struggling up heartbreak hill and various other parts of the course I was thinking of all your mantras....suck it up buttercup, "This is the BOSTON marathon what you have been training for months or even a lifetime, where heroes are made and broken" and my favorite "if the bone ain't showin' keep on goin'" Best of luck at Western States and enjoy, can't wait to see your video for that one! That is my dream race, truly legendary course, in the footsteps of giants, I hope to get in one day. Are you doing Grandmas double again???

Thanks very much . . . we did eat at Legal Seafoods at Copley Square after Boston so maybe we did run into each other! As of today, I think I'll attempt the Grandma's Double and see how it goes . . . it will be super slow because 1) Western States is 7 days later, and 2) I'm in terrible shape . . . possibly the worst in 15 years. Hip fractures will do that to you. Appreciate the kind words and hope to see you out on the trail one of these days.
