Wow, fabulous demonstration. Shows that KTM's programming is very well tuned in most cases, just switching from On-Road to Off-Road modes in appropriate conditions. Thank you!
thank you so much for the video, the fact that there are different ride modes and also different settings for each abs and mtc, is confusing. you made it so much better. thanks for the real world testing as well. i have the 2023 and I cannot say enough good things about this bike. so much fun. i was turning everything off when i just wanted to turn off ABS for the most part

Thanks for taking the time to make these comparisons. I usually keep mine in the "moderate" mode all the time unless I am in the rain, then it goes to street mode. I find my 2 stroke hard enduro experience has really made my 390 offroad riding experience much more confident too. thanks again.

Brilliant!.. We appreciate your effort to make this video, it looks easy but as a rider and filmmaker I know how time consuming and tiring it is to do such videos :). KTM should use or license this video to explain and show how these modes work and differentiate :)

Thanks Mark. The C5 is alright. Not as responsive as I’d like. And one particular ride it kept shutting off. I don’t know if it was because I hadn’t locked the unit in the mount with the screw on the back or if it was the temperature outside. Hasn’t happened again, but I also haven’t ridden in those temps since. For the price, can’t complain though 🤣
Fantastic video that clearly explains the different electronic interventions. I love off-road ride mode on my 390, it just hooks up in every condition, however I wasnt aware that off-road ride mode affected ABS. This knowledge will save me the trouble of switching ABS to off-road independently. Thank you!
@gjn201 totally agree, and common sense would suggest this because what would be the point of having separate modes for ABS if they were affect by ride modes. That’s said, my demonstration, while not completely void of external influence, suggested otherwise. Cheers!

Thanks for such a good detailed video! Sadly in the USA I can’t get Offroad ride mode on my 2020. I’ll have to see if it makes the bike unridable on dirt where you need wheel slip on hill climbs. Could turn MTC off but that’s a hassle every time you turn bike off. Thanks for the 390 entertainment!

Ohayo! Thank you so much for making this video. It really helped a me lot to further understand MTC. Really, I never touch the setting. I did however felt it's interventions many times on high speed turns where the engine is like shutting off, was there a lean angle sensor / cornering ABS also😅 for the 390? Sorry never felt that. But I'm deeply interested on MTC as I'm a proud owner of one but not mastered or at least understood the full benefits, not untill you did the video soooo happy! Love how much you've learned about the 390 ADV. Stuff that KTM didn't feel like sharing. There's a lot of potential in these bikes for how little they cost. Also good to know that I don't need to change the ABS mode whenever I go offroad, just the ride mode.
@guystevens162 do it, it’s an unbelievable difference. The dealers should know. If they don’t show them my video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-57H2OS7Ueg0.html. They need to contact KTM central to get an ABS hex file. Once they install that, the update is possible. They need that hex file though, if not the update will only update the meter and ECU and you won’t have ride modes.

Most of the ABS and MTC are due to laws in some countries. That is why most bikes now have e them. They are being forced into bikes, but with off road mode, it is excellent . I don’t mind safety if it is safe off road too.
@@advinjapanbut no matter how hard I squeeze the lever l I have never seen it intervene, plus I'm not happy with adv 390 braking performance especially the front.
