Reducing the front sprocket by one tooth is the cheapest and easiest way to reduce 'snatchiness' at low speed and improve your bike's acceleration .... sure you'll lose 5 mph off the top end but where can you do 140 mph +?
The KTM 690 Duke front sprocket is 15 teeth instead of 16 (standard on the 790) - they cost around £10 plus £2 for a new locking washer. It's pretty easy to change as you can see from the video - give it a go !
