KTM 890 Adventure R - TFT Problem - Died in the Middle of my trip 🙄😳

KTM 890 adventure R TFT died while I was on the trip and had to stop restart my bike to get it running. Happened three times yesterday and surely happened twice before also...
I document this so I can show this to Dealer so warranty claimed can be done.

Wow I just bought a new KTM 890 R the dealer I bought it form is the best in town. I'm sure from what I've read about KTM dealers it will be taken care of. Please keep us posted I'm interested in the results.

Every bike has issues, that's not the concern. But when KTM's warranty process is slow to non-existent then that's a real problem. I was genuinely looking at the 890 Adventure R but decided that KTM is too much hassle. I have decided to skip the tech and go with a T7.

The real issue is KTM use customers to identify the issues... but still won't fix the known issues years and models later

Anyone ever find a solution for this? My doesn't go blank but goes haywire if it rains within 2 miles of the rain starting. Odometer and speedometer quit working and all of the warning ⚠️ lights come on.

So, what was damaged now? Any results? Could you use everything normally without the dashboard? Any limitations with riding mode or maximum speed or whatever? Thx

No damaged. I submitted video and claims to dealer as per request.. it just TFT goes dark but no impact on any modes. All I do when this happens I pull over on side turn the bike off and on . Hoping this will cover by KTM.

Ironically this same issue happened to the 1290 TFT.... typical ktm keep producing the same junk year after year

This is a very common problem, they take care of it under warranty (if your bike is under warranty ofc)

After the service and software upgrade it was gone and no issue since then.

Have you had any other problems? I'm between a 890 and T7. I know the 890 is better bet I know the T7 will we be cheaper to maintain for the next 10 years or so

No other issues worked like a charm but I just traded in for new 2022 KTM R 1290 Supper Adventure R.
