The KTM Duke 390 has always been a hoot - especially the untamed, raw Generation 1. No wonder, the owner of this bike did not want to part ways with it and get the KTM 390 Adventure, a very capable bike in its own right, but a little soft (throttle response, engine character) than the original Duke 390.
But the owner did want to travel distance and tackle a bit of light off-roading with his bike - dirt roads, gravel roads etc.
The stock Duke 390 with its limited suspension travel and ground clearance is not the most ideal bike for such roads.
So, what did he do? He went to Speedmonks Performance Centre in Gurgaon, where they installed a pair of BMW G310 GS front forks with altered fork oil level (stock BMW forks are just too soft), a rear suspension tuned by Zedling Suspension for the riding style, conditions and weight of the rider, among a lot more things.
