I see you were blessed with the thorough detail gene. I wish I’d o’ had that one, too. I got the handsome devil gene, which is nice, but I’m always slipping on oil slicks, and am trying to figure out were I set my tools down. Great video.

Cut to length a piece of angle iron to set on cylinder ram for bucket. That will safe it out when it is raised. Just slowly lower til it touches and you are good to go! 👍👍👍

Hey Jason, thanks for the service video, I have a Kioti tractor and the service is pretty much the same as yours. Thanks for the tip with the shop towel for checking oil level, I always have trouble seeing where the oil is on the dipstick. All the best.

When I did my first 50 hr service, I also dumped the hydro and also the front axle. Figure if there's any metal dust I'd get it first. I really like that log trailer. Thinking about getting one

Good maintenance is the life of any equipment! You’re off to a good start, I’m curious to see if your UTV is as user friendly to service as your tractor. Great information in this video. I’d like to see a skid plate under the belly of your tractor too, I see some delicate bits begging for protection! All the best, Jeff.

Great service video. A little FYI. Paul and Cathy Short (Speciality Repairs) in NFLD make protection guards for your tractor to protect those filters. They have a channel on here as well as Face Book and a website for sales. Thought it may be good where you take yours to the woods. 👍

The use of a vacuum on the Oil Inlet no doubt works well. Another thought is before removing the Oil Inlet rubber cap would be to grab the Breather tube next to it and suck a bit of vacuum on it then pinch it off with a clamp. Then go remove the Hydraulic HST filter and likely the loss of fluid would be minimal then too.

How's she goin'? Nice to get the maintenance done eh!! Lubrication is probably the most important thing to take care of on the tractor. Second would be the air filter. Just a comment here, most tractors require the 3 point to be in the lower position when checking the hydro oil level. Maybe check your manual to see if it's a requirement for your tractor. Great video and I was some impressed that you did all that work with oil and never spilled any on your floor. When ever I do an oil change the first thing that happens is an oil spill!!! LOL Take care and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mike! I’m going to read up on the 3 point hitch! It has never been used yet nor has the loader and bucket… it has been dedicated to the Kranman as a draft horse so far! I checked the air filter off camera btw, it looked like new. I can’t be using it enough! We’ll be busy digging out tomorrow!

Surprised that the fuel filter is not changed, most of these tractors are fuelled up out of smaller containers and get condensation in the fuel. The fuel system is the most delicate system and very expensive to repair. Most tractors l work on have filters that are vertical and I punch a hole in the bottom, let it drain then take the filter off, no mess. Find it strange that the hydraulic oil pours out of the filter base when changing filters, there’s got to be a better design. Made a pipe on a steel plate and put it under the bucket so if a hose would break the bucket wouldn’t fall down, easy safety tool to make. Like the filter socket, works well. Good job my friend.

@@OakMountainAcotts there are torque settings, but I am having trouble figuring out the very limited diagram in the owners manual. the backhoe was easy beacause all the settings were within the same tolerance window, but there are several different windows for bolts/nuts of the same size on the loader. I think the manual shows the loader frame with the bucket set up on something (like it tells you to do when you are servicing the loader), i'll be damned if I can figure out what is what though. I just figured out how to use a grease gun two weeks ago... loader torque is every 20-30 hours and at 50 hours, backhoe torque is every 50 hours. however, the lack of youtube videos about this makes me quesiton its importance, especially with talking to some of the other farmers around here. I reached out to the dealer last thursday but haven't heard back. I just want to do things right... thanks for getting back to me.

I wish I could help but I’m far from being a mechanic. The dealer is your best bet. I don’t plan to check my bucket and loader fasteners for torque even though it is likely a good idea!

thank you for getting back to me. the dealer's mechanic told me earlier today that 'tight enough' is all that is need for the loader hardware. overtightening isn't going to be much of a problem.

thanks for posting. But doesn't the manual say to drain oils at 50 hours as well? I know it says to change every 200 hours, but 50 hours - it says to change oils (working in tractor...). I did my 50 hour oil(s) and filter changes last summer. Great tractor we have, I just wish I had 10 or 20 more HP to run a good size woodchipper.

Thanks Joe, I’m not sure about that… my dealer told me just the filters. They even provided me with a couple litres of hydraulic oil to top up levels from filter loss during changing. The same idea for my diesel RTV. I am thinking about a 40 - 50 hp with cab for property work. This machine was paired to my timber trailer and I haven’t disconnected it yet! Thanks for watching.

Your entire tractor is METRIC. Your drain plugs are NOT 9/16. They are most likely 14mm. While 9/16 may fit just fine, the proper size is metric.

Here’s what I have written down in my filter socket kit: type 911-1, 79 mm diameter, 15 tooth for engine filter and hst. Hope this helps!

50hrs... that machine is NEW! Did you have any plan of pulling the log trailer with the RTV? I know you had it set up to be controlled from the seat of your tractor. How do you like the RTV so far? Thanks!

Hi Joe, the possibilities are becoming endless! I really like the trailer behind the tractor. I think I will leave it setup like that for now. I am curious to see how the RTV performs with tracks.... I have visions of me using it like a little tractor in the woods backing up to those hard to reach areas and towing out some nice wood..... We will see what happens! Thanks for stopping by, Jason.

Should have lowered your bucket so the hydraulic oil on the cylinders went back in your reservoir before he checked your level.

Good point! There is a lot of hydraulic fluid in my log trailer and a few small leaks so hopefully it will be okay. I'll pull the stick and check it out though... Thanks!

@@OakMountainAcotts should be ok but yes I just checked the manual. Cold, everything down and on the ground, then check the level in the rear. If it’s over filled I’m sure I’ll just over flow and need cleaned up.

There is no size stamped on them. I could measure them up but if I’m off a bit, you wouldn’t be very happy with me!

I found it messy to take off My filter on the 2601. Stupid design. Next time place duct tape below the filter drain and keep on using more tape overlapping the edges till it makes a faux funnel. Honda small engines same thing. Hope you can picture that. Those filter wrenches are pretty cool. Cheers

There is supposed to be a vacuum cleaner trick you can use to change out your hydraulic filters put the vacuum cleaner on your filler hole and it draws enough suction so she don't spill on you so bad why changing the filters
