The use of a vacuum on the Oil Inlet no doubt works well. Another thought is before removing the Oil Inlet rubber cap would be to grab the Breather tube next to it and suck a bit of vacuum on it then pinch it off with a clamp. Then go remove the Hydraulic HST filter and likely the loss of fluid would be minimal then too.
I have a Kabota BX 2660 that I just did the service on FYI yes you need to put some oil on the rubber O-ring on the filter but I also like to put some oil inside of the filter before I screw it on that way when you start the tractor up it does not run dry in the pump for the one or two seconds it takes the pump to push the oil through the filter. I love my Kabota I think it’s the best tractor out there I dug out a pond with mine 8 feet deep and 75 feet around there’s just so many different uses for the Kabota around my 7 acres here .the Kabota is almost indestructible the best money I’ve ever spent. thanks again for the video keep the great content coming. I am new to tractor ownership and am a few hours away from the 50 hrs service and am looking into getting everything I need. I noticed your receipt was from Messick's but it seems you were missing an O-ring for the fuel filter... did you get everything else you needed to complete the 50 hrs service? It did not appear that you got new compression washers for the drain plugs, have you had any leaks since the oil change? Have you (or any of your subscribers) purchased the Kubota B2601 filter & oil kit from Amazon?
