This is a product review of the MK Martin 395 Utility Dump Box while attached to the Kubota BX2370 sub compact tractor. This 10 cubic foot dump box is perfect for the back of a sub compact tractors like the Kubota BX series, John Deere 1 family and the New Holland Boomer series. This 3 point hitch attachment is great for getting in and out of the woods driving over rough terrain with a load of wood. You can back up and dump that load of mulch right where you want it. Lower and dump the box and roll a heavy log right onto the box. This is a great option for someone who is looking for a 10 cubic foot cart but could use the versatility of the dump box. Raise the box and unload that heavy load of wood without bending over and reaching into a traditional dump cart. Lawn maintenance jobs can be conquered with less hassle while using this dump box.

I have had one of these for about fifteen years on a variety of small tractors. The Kubota B7510 works well on it, though the Bolens G174 is preferable as its 3 pt hitch will go right to the ground for rolling heavy objects into the upended box. If you don't have a loader which can get into tight places, this dump box is the answer. For example, I dug down a floor by carrying stuff and dumping it out through the basement door into the box. It also allowed me to pick up firewood around the property virtually anywhere that a draft horse in harness could go. A rope is good for dumping if you adjust the bolt's tension right. I have also put a 25 gallon sprayer tank converted to garden hose nozzle for watering in summer. A 12v battery in the box provided the power.

What's the point when you have a front loader bucket that will hold the same if not more?

A cool Idea.. I think a better execution would be in a dump trailer format of increased size. One could disconnect the trailer and use the tractor's front loader to fill the trailer. Then simply, hook the tractor back up to the trailer and be free to transport the trailer and dump it wherever. Best of both worlds.

i agree, If you google dump cart for a sub compact or BX tractor there is not many to choose from if any. I seen a 10 cu cart or an ATV cart and nothing heavy duty. Pronovost makes a dump trailer but its a little big and a little pricey. I was also told a trailer for a subcompact would be able to haul more weight and may be an issue stopping going down a hill.. If you hauled a lot of firewood around the home in the woods , i thought it would be nice to fill the bucket and the dump box.

Can you use it with a quick attach? If so it would be useful so you can load the box by using your loader and then dump/spread where you need it. I would not hand shovel a box full of mulch when I have a loader.

A FEL bucket extender makes more sense, especially for light loads like manure, sawdust or even firewood.

Makes me wonder about the weight due to how long it is. Once you load that up it seems like the weight is going to be pretty far back from the lift arms. Like others mention at smaller sizes it seems somewhat redundant if you have a FEL. Overall I'd feel better about it's capability if the box was deeper and shorter to reduce the levering effect.
