Inputs: Hold dead assist then input snap on the other assist button.
Finally getting around to grinding this. This is actually more lenient than you think. As long as you hold tag(right after the super activation) and input snapback with the other assist (before the super activation ends), it should work every time. No meter required. Only one character can be dead.
Apparently I can hold buster charge and do the glitch too.
