Thanks, Gord! LOL. The shop was a lot warmer when I shot this than it is now but so far I’ve only had to run a propane heater in it once to warm it up and that was more for testing to see how well the heater worked than to warm the shop. Thanks for watching!

New subscriber and a fairly new Kubota L3901 owner. I have never operated a tractor before and still getting comfortable with it. I have purchased a Land Pride box blade and have installed a piranha bar on my bucket. Looking forward to getting some more implements. After watching your video on your carry all I am going to make that a priority. Thanks for all the tips and information.

Hi John! Thanks for subscribing! I’ve had my L3901 for two years and love it and yet I still consider myself a new tractor owner. Other than renting a skid steer once and a backhoe/loader a couple of times, I had no previous experience either. Let me know what you think of the Piranha tooth bar. I have been considering getting one. You’ll find you can do a lot with that box blade. Dave of the Dave Knows How channel has several good videos on using the box blade. He’s has a wealth of tractor know-how!

Good morning and thank you for replying. I have the Kubota L3301 4x4 2015. I found the maintenance sheets on pages 56-59. Now I just have to figure out how to make copies as you have done so wisely. I did not buy the tractor new. However it only has about a 113 hours or so on it.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 3 года назад
Glad you found them! 113 hours is practically new. Do you know if the previous owner did the 50 hour maintenance? If not or you don’t know, you should do the 50 hour maintenance steps first. Good luck!

Thank you so much, Bryant! The sheets are specific to the model of tractor you have and are normally in the operator’s manual. I just made a copy of mine so I would mess up the original. What model tractor do you have? Do you have the manual to it? Thanks for watching!

Martin when I get embalmed will they warm me up before putting embalming fluid in me? PS like changing the oil
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 4 года назад
Hi Bob! LOL I suppose it depends on who "they" are and whether you asked to be warmed up. The warming up is more about getting the old fluids out than getting the new fluids in.

Thanks Martin. Great job. I know there are lots of electronic devices on the tractor but do you ever wash the tractor with a hose or pressure washer? Do you wash the radiator? Thanks for your response.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 4 года назад
Thanks, Tommy! Yes, I have washed the tractor with a hose, but I'm careful where I spray to avoid offending any electronics. I haven't washed the radiator, but I have blown it clean with an air compressor and a blow gun.
@MDellen
@MDellen 4 года назад
Pressure washers are too strong for washing a tractor. I've used one to get muck off a grading scraper and from the tines of a tiller. Watch where you point the water since it will take the decals off.

Nice vid thanks.. I just got used 4400 and noticed the radiator fan wobbles? so the shaft from the fan that goes back to engine has a little wobble? is that normal? 2009 tractor with 300 hours? thanks
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 2 года назад
I'm not familiar with that model tractor, but I don't think a fan wobble is normal. One thing to check is to see if one of the fan blades is bent out of alignment. If so, it would appear to wobble and maybe you can just bend it back into alignment. Thanks for watching!

Do you have a video on a abandoned m4030 tractor for 20 years without being started. What should I do first. It was my father in law tractor and he just walk away from it with only 50 hours on it. Would love to see it running. Thanks
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 3 года назад
Hi Jerry! No, I have never been in that situation, but I have seen several videos (and there are lots of them on RU-vid!) about resurrecting old tractors. Hopefully, it's been stored under a shed or in a barn or garage. The first things that come to mind is to change ALL fluids: engine oil, hydraulic fluid, gear oil, radiator water. Also change all filters. If it's a diesel, the entire fuel system may have gelled diesel in so it will have to thoroughly flushed. Check for dry rotted and cracked rubber hoses and tires. I'm sure there are plenty of videos that can guide you through the full process. I'd say your chances of getting it running again are good and then you'll have an almost brand new 20 year old tractor. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Martin my L2501 does not have a breather port on the rear axle support and will not take any grease, the front is normal like your video shows. ? I am worried that I can not get any grease in there. Thanks
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 4 года назад
Hi Mark. That’s odd. Is your L2501 a 4WD model or 2WD? Is there a grease zerk on the rear axle support?
@marksmith4977
@marksmith4977 4 года назад
@@DIYMyWay 4WD yes there is a zerk on the rear axle support but no plug to remove
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 4 года назад
That’s very odd! What model year is your tractor? Does your manual indicate there should be one? Mine is a is a 2017.
@inthedarkwoods2022
@inthedarkwoods2022 2 года назад
You forgot to clean the fuel filter.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 2 года назад
No, I did not. First of all, you don't clean a the fuel filter; you replace it every 400 hours according the the manual for the L3301 and L3901. If you are referring to the water separator, it is emptied as needed and cleaned every 400 hours. Thanks for watching!
@inthedarkwoods2022
@inthedarkwoods2022 2 года назад
@@DIYMyWay You stated in the video that this could be applied to the 2501 with the exception of the DPF. The 2501 requires the fuel filter to be cleaned with kerosene.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 2 года назад
That’s interesting! Some of these timelines seem rather arbitrary. For instance, I noticed that the Work Shop Manual (WSM) for the L3301 and L3901 has a few differences in the maintenance schedule than in the Owner’s Manual. Since the WSM is far more comprehensive (covers complete breakdown and reassembly of the tractor), I’ve followed the WSM.
@inthedarkwoods2022
@inthedarkwoods2022 2 года назад
@@DIYMyWay With all due respect you should state you are not following the Owner's Manual and instead are using the WSM at the start of the video. The owner's manual should always be followed.
