Installed the Pat’s system today using your video as a guide, so much better then reading instructions. I ordered the Mark’s stabilizer bars at the same time, however, Mark is back ordered to the end of the year so we will have to fumble around with the turnbuckles until then. I have more then a dozen implements for my L3301, being in my late 60’s, I am very excited about not having to wrestle with all that “iron” every time I want to change implements

Great video, I just ordered the stabilizer bars through Kubota, very similar to these. I do not like the Land Pride Quick Hitch that I have currently, but I'll see how things are once I get the turnbuckles off, and the stabilizers on, I might want to go with the Pat's QH kit as well. I sent comments 8 months ago. On May 16, 2020, I ordered both the “Pat’s” and Mark’s stabilizers. The “Pat’s” showed up immediately whereas, as you warned, The stabilizers arrived this past Monday 02/22/21. They were worth the wait. You may have mentioned this in your video. One of the things I did not realize or taken into consideration is the fact that “Pat’s” devices extend your lift bars some 4”. I had a Ford 1220 previously (small sub compact, 13 hp @ PTO) I had to cut down a couple driveshafts for the brush hog and 4’ rototiller. These drive shafts were then too short when I went to the L3301 Kubota. I ended up selling both those implements. The extra 4” turned out to be a good excuse to move up to larger implements. Also, the stabilizers cost $250, not a game changer.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on these, curious what length top link did you have to move to, as in how much longer. I just can't see spending over $400 for the landpride quick hitch. Thanks and another great video
@BotaTrac
@BotaTrac 3 года назад
Hey brother! Good to hear from you again!! On the L2501 it's going to depend on the implement. I ultimately had to get two because of where/how the top link connects. Both are category 1 top links: one was 18-1/8" - 26-3/8" and the other was 25-9/16 - 41-5/16." I use a lot of ground contact implements and my bush hog (for example) has a hinged connector where the top link connects. If I used the shorter one only, the cutter wouldn't follow the contour of the ground when cutting over the crest of a hill. it was too short and cause the cutter to "lift off" the ground. Here's the best price I found and where I got mine: www.agristoreusa.com/collections/hydraulic-top-links-1

The best Quick Hitch for that tractor is the Land Pride made for the tractor. You do have more versatility to use varied equipment from other companies with different specs with what you have and for you it may be wonderful. Anyone looking into buying a tractor and having the easiest system needs to talk with the dealer and see just how great the Quick Hitch works they sell and get equipment that matches.

I have the Kubota stabilizers and the price was right at $200, but the Kubota does have one feature I like better than these. The Kubota stabilizers have a slot about in the middle of the slide where these only have position holes. So If you have something that you want to have a little bit of free swing, you put the pin in the slot instead of the position holes and this gives the stabilizer about 1" of free travel in and out, which equates to a few inches of free swing at the lift arms, yet still keeps the arms off the tires if it swings to one side. You can also put the pin in the slot on one arm and in a hole on the other side and this reduces the amount of free travel while still allowing some. Even if you put pins in the position holes on both arms, there is still a little bit of free swing due to slack in the mounting pins and yokes.

You still like these? I bought the Kubota stabilizers. If I had known more I probably would have bought the Hodge's. Biggest issue with the Kubota ones is they can rub on your tires. Just got my Pat's in yesterday. I'm excited to put it on this weekend.
@BotaTrac
@BotaTrac 3 года назад
Yes I do! So much that I have them on both - my BX25D and my L2501. Hodges DO NOT rub on the tires because there isn't a lot of play in them. Good luck with your setup. You're gonna love how easy it is to connect and disconnect with Pat's! Thanks for the comment!!

I have a Kubota L3200 with turnbuckles and the Pat's Easy Change System. I am interested in the stabilizers but have a question. I fabricated a movable spacer to keep my to Pat's hooks at the precise distance I need to hook up to my implement. With turnbuckles, one has infinite control over distance between hooks. With your stabilizers, it looks like you are finitely limited by the distances between the holes. I carry a large Crescent wrench with me on the Kubota to loosen the turnbuckle locknuts. Am I missing something here that I don't see? What happens when the holes available don't provide the distance between hooks? Thanks. The stabilizers look great, but are they practical?
@BotaTrac
@BotaTrac 3 года назад
Yeah. They really are practical - they adjust very quickly and no adjustable wrenches to keep track of. They're designed to accommodate any spread - either directly behind the tractor, and even offset to the left side or right side. Thanks for your comment and your support!
@incubatork
@incubatork 5 лет назад
to set the spacer bar length once connected you could cut a short length of wood or rebar and leave it on the implement for next time, each one its own length, or with thin rebar tag them and keep them in the tractor toolbox, say 1/4 inch rebar is very space saving.

When using the Hodge stabilizers on my 3 point hitch is it necessary after I have added Pat’s quick hitch to use the rod that goes across to hold the arms at a set distance. Doesn’t the Hodge adjustable stabilizers do that ?
@BotaTrac
@BotaTrac 3 года назад
Hi Roger - The rod holds them at a fixed distance apart. Without it, they wiggle a bit and makes it little harder to maintain the right spacing to grab the implement's pins. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I like Pat's quick hitches - but had to get an extra long top link to connect the rototiller - that additional 4 inches can be a problem.
@BotaTrac
@BotaTrac 5 лет назад
Yes. I have a neighbor who had the same issue on a JD. His top link fit snug inside a piece of 1-1/4" black iron pipe. So, I cut the top link in half and welded it into an 8-1/2" long section. Works beautifully. I was going to make a video on that but by the time I thought of it - I was almost done....... Thanks for the comment!!

I just bought the harbor freight quick hitch. Not really happy with it, so I’m thinking of installing these instead.
@BotaTrac
@BotaTrac 3 года назад
I like them and use them on both my tractors. I have a few guys who have contacted me complaining that they use the Harbor Freight or Land Pride quick hitch and they don't have to dismount to connect an implement but I don't know how they connect their top-link. And even if they could do it all from the seat - I have a hydraulic top link with an eyelet that's just too far away from the rear of the tractor to attach/remove from the seat....just my 2 cents!! Thanks for watching and for the comment!! 1

my turnbuckles dont have jam nuts. they have a hole that a hitch pin goes through. i like the turnbuckles better. i can snug things up or give them some room for movement on my implements. i think i'll get the Pats easy change though. they will definitely help.

I wonder if anybody is making lower arms already with quick latch integrated. If I get an extra set probably I´ll give it a try. ;-) Thinking about the best of both worlds, original height, original extension and an easy coupling. No more PTO length issues. Or implements hanging 4" further away. I´m sold on the concept. :-)

not sure what the cost of this is but you can go to harbor freight and get a quick hitch for like 115$ and while they both do the same job the only thing I see about this setup you have that I don't like is on my QH15 I can reach the release levers from my seat and when I do a lot of dirt work I am switching between my Ballast and my box scraper regularly and with me being able to reach the levers from my seat it means I do not have to get on and off the tractor sometimes dozens of times a day. that's worth something to me.

@BotaTrac
@BotaTrac 3 года назад
It's all in how you adjust them. On the L2501 - the widest implement I pull in a 5ft roto-tiller from Everything Attachments. The pins are the widest of any other implement I use. When mounted properly, I have no problems with the stabilizers rubbing on the tires. Not yet anyway. Thanks for watching and for the comment!!
