Hi Jay, looks like you did a real good job taking that thing apart. I'm glad you used an impact wrench to loosen up the bolts, I always use my impact wrench for that kind of stuff. Can't wait to see your next video. Pete

I hate buying used equipment. You never know if the person that had it knows something you don't. I reckon replacing or fixing the bar and other odds & ends will put it in good shape for at least another 10 years.

Gotta have a strong back for that one! I really need a 3/4" impact.

You've blown the inner seal in the cylinder. The hole allows air into the cylinder when you let the bar down. It'll have to be rebuilt. The kit is available from Kuhn. It's not too hard to rebuild them.

Be a good time to inspect you gearbox for wear bearings, seals and whatever at least new oil, I would have to say that's a good breaker bar.

I ended up being able to lift the bar into the vertical position and collected the hydraulic fluid that continued to come out. It will still probably need to be rebuilt but it was working well enough to get the first cut done!

Looks like you need you torch out there for them rusted bolts heat does wonder on them. i know you dont want to buy another mower but i might be your best bet might find a used one for not much more than repairs on yours. carry on

I appreciate the videos! I've been watching through them. I have a GMD 600 and there's a small vent hole/ breather port at the top (away from where the hydraulic hose enters) of the hydraulic. I went to use mine the other day and it started spewing out of the hole when I tried to lift it. Any idea what the problem might be?
