Is the intelligence of the system hosted at a central server system or is a distributed system implemented here? Is the higher-level system in which rules of the matrix production are stored an MES or APS system? - Are planned and unplanned downtimes handeled in AVI or this superordinate system?
Dear Philipp, thank you for your interest. We are happy to answer your questions: The KI Planner runs centrally in AIVI. It analyzes all converging data at each point in time and then plans the necessary steps for each AGV to achieve the current goals in the form of orders. The rules addressed are worked out together with the customer during the planning phase. The rules are to be understood as the possibilities that the AI planner has, e.g., which actions can be executed under which conditions by each agent in the system. These rules can usually be derived relatively easily from the prevailing processes at the customer and from the layout. The system can be put into modes where no jobs are generated. So if a standstill is desired, this can be triggered very easily with a button in the GUI. In case of unforeseen errors in the process, different error handling strategies are available, depending on the error pattern. Best, Your KUKA Social Media team
