I think this is a great way to teach children about self-defense, but also patience, discipline and respect. Also keeps them in physical and mental shape. I know way too many people who are afraid of their children learning martial arts because "they might get hurt", but are fine with them not doing any sports or being obese.
Best time to start learning especially if you are serious about the art....The earlier the better !....It takes four to nine years depending just to prepare the body and mind !!!
@@jl1876Yes I do Even if they were dumped ... The notion of Parents are just and outdated part of anthropological evolution an narrow minded conservative social construct that's naturally would and should apply to us all. We are all responsible for all our children. And by the devotion of This teacher these children are in the best of hands.
I like China Shaolin kungfu and all the martial arts of China they learn from small age and they have talent one or two things I like the training they work very hard
Love seeing the kids doing forms of the monkey, crane, & snake. Gives me chills to see hundreds of years of tradition, history, & art being still practiced as it did many generations ago. I’m a student in Traditional Tang Soo Do Karate 🥋, and I know the sense of immense pride, achievement, doing what you didn’t think you could do, & self confidence you get from doing what is a very difficult, but rewarding lifestyle. I think I can speak for a lot of people right now: We all are really missing be able to train in person with our fellow students and our Masters! Praying the COVID - 19 lockdown on martial arts will end soon!
Please don’t take this the wrong way but if you want the true traditional Kung Fu you’d have to go to Hong Kong or Taiwan. Mainland China only practices contemporary forms which were created after 1960. The traditional martial arts left China around the time of the cultural Revolution
I'm an blackbelter in taekwondo but I want to learn kung fu! I want to go there! In china or any country that full of trainings in kung fu! This is what I like, because all instructor in kung fu sports are professional and doing their job like serious training! Hope to try and learn some of this!
most people think that kung fu is about fighting and hurting others. but no, it's much more than that. it actually is helping others. it is an exercise, a building up of mind, body and spirit and the building up of life.
as an MMA fither Kung Fu isn't practical in a real fight, they don't focus on conditioning, no do they spar, and they get winded very easily, instead learn Muay Thai or Kick Boxing
@@WeirdBulldog You could always carry a staff around for real fights, kung fu works with weapons amazingly well. You can always spar and condition your body in various ways even if you're not doing any martial arts at all. I would suggest you to research a bit more and learn some of the basic forms, shouldn't be too hard if you already have enough experience as you claim, even if they don't "work in real fights"(do you mean some sort of a prearranged event or out in the wild?) they will definitely make you more flexible, stronger and you'll be able to manipulate your body a lot better. You should steal a bit from every martial art there is and combine them to something better, they're just ideas after all. Nobody has perfected fighting and never will, and there will always be someone who has a better trick up their sleeve.
There is one boy that looks to be about four or five years old. So strong and flexible and graceful. What is truly amazing is their mindset and concentration. I hope these children are also spending a lot of time learning in school and not just emphasizing physical skills. China will be one of the greatest nations if all their people are like these young boys.
I used to live in mainland China. It’s good to see that the young people are learning how to do martial arts. One sad point is that the old-fashioned traditional martial arts barely exist in mainland China today. Because of the cultural revolution, martial arts were changed to be more acrobatic and for showmanship. The old-fashioned traditional combat oriented martial arts ended up going to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau. There are still a few traditional old style kung fu teachers in China I was very fortunate to meet with Juan and train with one. He told me that his teacher had to go into hiding to keep his traditional praying mantis kung fu. That was because at the time during the cultural revolution they were getting rid of anything that was considered traditional an old style to be replaced by what Mao Ze Dong would allow. Who knows as time goes on with more cultural exchanges between the mainland, Hong Kong, anti-won the old style traditional martial arts will reemerge in China
Kung Fu is a good way to learn martial arts and at the same time you learn about yourself, the environment and what matters in the life. It is also the type of martial arts where you learn how to defend yourself, not how to fight others and you're strengthening your body and mind at the same time. I recommend it :) I myself have been learning Kung Fu since I was 5 years old and it will always have a good place in my heart.
@@haruaru9695 woahh! I really want to learn some martial artss but im weak:(. Thank youuu!
