Hi Friends! It is almost Chinese New Year and I Hope everyone have a beautiful CNY celebration🎉! I don't know why it took me so long to share Kung Pao Shrimp Recipe but wow it is amazing. This recipe will be a crowd pleaser if you are hosting a party! I mean I'm blown away by how juicy and tender the shrimp turn out to be! Definitely use the poaching process mentioned in the video because that's the key to Kung Pao Shrimp! The sauce pairs perfectly with shrimp or prawns, I know I'm ready to eat Kung Pao anything! Ingredients:
Peeled Shrimp or Prawns 9 oz (250g about 1/2 lb) ( i got wild caught shrimp at ALDI and they are absolutely amazing)
5 green onion (only white part)
1 handful Dry chili (cut and deseeded, not the spicy kinds, choose low heat Sichuan peppers)
1 cup and 3 tbsp cooking oil
2 cloves Garlic (sliced)
1 piece Ginger (sliced)
1/2 cup roasted cashew
1 stick of Celery
Marinate:
Shaoxing wine 1 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Light soy sauce 1 tsp
potato starch 2 tbsp
egg white 1 tbsp
Kung Pao Sauce (I highly recommend following the proportion below or at least keep the sugar and vinegar content correct!)
Sugar 3 tsp
Vinegar 3 tsp
Shaoxing wine 1 tsp
Potato Starch 1/4 tsp
light Soy sauce 1 tsp
