Kuro Knows What They're Doing 

This marketing works on me. When I saw Shorekeeper I bought the monthly card. When I saw Camelliya, I bought a battle pass. The same I'm going to do in 1.3 and 1.4. After Shorekeeper I plan to make a break but now I have to work hard to be ready for Camelliya and not be completely bankrupt. It is not healthy but it I'm craving for them.

There's also a reason Zhezhi was released in such a fashion. Every single person who skipped on Zhezhi will not know her full use until future characters become more prevalent. (I accidentally hit her 50/50 so I should know I wanted to skip her too.) Her kit is essentially one of the currently most undervalued kits that will almost never be powercrept due to how unique her FUA interaction is. As well as her outro being designed in such a way. I wouldn't be surprised if Kuro releases her rerun some time after releasing a ver.2 character design makes full use of it and people feel guilt for missing out on her first run. Remember that Zhezhi's kit is functionally different from Yinlin, Mortefi, or Yuanwu's CAs. Because it's functionally a FUA, not a CA. And that is one of the main differences why she may be one of the most sought after units in the game in the future that might actually tend to sell incredibly well when her rerun happens. Her backstory is also quite different and can be placed into a different area even more so. As a VISUAL storyteller with a literal domain expansion ability, she's arguably one of the most powerful people we've ever met and contradicts the current world's AUDIO central thematic. Let it be known that I did not like Zhezhi either. All these ideas came up after not wanting her on my team. But with how Kuro designs their power scalings to make absolutely no fucking sense, I.... actually don't believe that I'm too far off with the 'masterplan'.

If we're being real here, I think majority of us were down to 0 after the Jinhsi and Changli patch, I know I was after S1 Changli and getting her weapon. Sadly Zhezhi is sandwiched in between other desired characters plus another given for free, but I'd pull for her if I had the pulls at the time. I'm in the minority when I say I don't care for Camellya lol, back to the Shorekeeper waiting room.

Shorekeeper being a sustainer is a game changer. As FTP, I need to establish 2 good sustainers for end game content. Zhezhi is a great sub dps, but is competing with Changli and Yinlin which I already have for my account. I'm saving up for Shorekeeper and her signature weapon. Saved up 110 pulls so far.

hopefully they add more events from now on, or at least by 2.0, cuz the 2 weeks dead time each patch is kinda a doozy. But tbh im already used to it like in PGR, but WuWa's different, or I'd like to think so

there are probably more 'civilian' resonators out there. I would think most resonators simply get scooped up by a faction when their fortes awaken, but remember Zhezhi started hiding hers at a young age after the incident with her parents, and her identity was hidden. I dont think being in a faction should be a requirement to be interesting.

One important thing of note. PGR. Global for that game is one year behind, so we know exactly what the conent is going to be a year ahead and so plan our pulls acordingly. Kuro account for this, when the most anticipated character for global dropped: Lucia Crimson Weave, a new luna frame dropped oversees giving everyone a new target to save for. This marketing strat of outling future banners a few patches ahead is nothing new to Kuro, they have been operating around a far more extreme version of it for years.

I guess I'm the only weirdo saving for Jiyan. I missed him the first time around, so I wasn't able to get him. If I get Jiyan, and FINALLY get Verina, I'll be ok with that.

The drip marketing certainly worked because I bought the monthly pass today breaking F2P just to increase my chances to ensure I can get both characters.

I actually love zhezhis design but I was quite simply broke from the changli banner and I hadn’t anticipated saving for her release since she wasn’t apart of the main story

Meanwhile, I'm over here having absolutely 0 desire for any of these 4 characters and just wanting male characters 😭 Scar isn't gonna come out until like... Idk, 2.0 or something? He's extremely far away. Please, Kuro, give us more male characters :(

Bro I wanted camellya to be a character so bad, and then a couple days later she gets announced. I just started in this patch (1.2) and I can definitely agree that this must be a “save up” patch bc the events are very generous. I’d recommend saving those 5 star echo mutator things from these events for whichever character you want for a jumpstart to there best in slot echo sets

To be fair, Camellya's design is not allat, even Lumi has a better design imo. But people like her because of her personality and "that" scene

Heh. I’m always in reverse with the most players since I pull mostly male characters. So Xiangli Yao was the main feature for many patches. Shorekeeper looks cool and we definitely need another Verina :)

I am a proud owner of Zhezhi and her weapon. Adorbs design, and anything that makes my Jinhsi better, the better. Plus I have opened up my Yinlin to sub for some other electro dps. Not building Xiangli yao, though, waiting on a Raiden clone. Someday. Someday. Pulling shorekeeer and weapon for sure, and we will see what happens when Camellya drops. If i need to drop a few bux, I will, but the gacha gods have been amazing to me in this game so far, and with average or better luck I probably won't have to. Especially if i keep myself from grabbing shorekeeper's waveband from the shop. She seems like a solid waveband use, assuming her 1st resonance chain is a worthy improvement.

If the rumors and visuals going around about a 2.0 Character is real (and she's exactly what I wanted and what I was waiting for) then we're fully cooked and will need to do some Luck blessings rituals alongside using the Secret technique : BANK ACCOUNT. (In case we want to get all 3 + weapons)

My pulling plans for 1.3 and 1.4. Pull Shorekeeper, then get Lumi off Camellya. Actually more interested than Lumi than Camellya.

My account has 3 good teams with Jiyan, Changli and Xiangli. After shorekeeper I can save and pull only for cool designs or fun

Honestly, I don't care what role or element Camellya has, I'm getting her regardless. Not like Kuro would make her weak in any role she has, since the backlash would be insane, so I'm certain I can use her. I've wanted her since 1.0, and the drip marketing is making me even more excited for the release. So, that works. And well, she might the kind of girl your mom warned you about, but neurons activated and all the warnings were forgotten. The marketing for the Shorekeeper is also working on me. I have Verina on my main team, and I can run Baizhi, but another powerful sustain would be a plus. Adding to that her absurdly powerful buffs, Shorekeeper is almost certainly a must-have. I will hold off on pulling for her though, until I'm sure I can afford Camellya, and until people have tested her well enough to know how she does without her signature weapon.

I've only pulled for Jiyan, his weapon, and Xiangli Yao's weapon so far. I'm very ready for Shorekeeper and Camellya and possibly their weapons (Variation and Emerald are both already so good). Then back to saving up for Geshu and his weapon.

And my dumbas didn't take the hint and pulled for zhezhi and her weapon from scar's saving cuz it's gonna be a while until he shoes up 💀

I hate when a company kills a character just to boost the sales of another and I also hate when their main focus to sell you the character is the label, these shitti tactics are typical of a certain shitti company.

Camelliya is the only one I'm hype for because I finally get a limited 5 star after not getting Yinlin back in 1.0. (Yeah I quit after her banner)

I never pull for appearance, only power and synergy IF I have enough information. There were times I went more or less blind at the beginning in these gatcha, bc I never played them. Naive me I thought you could make do with any roster and it was solely a thing of prefference, until I got stuck in several of these games because you either have to farm forever for some specific characters and roles, or be playing the game from release and receiving massive rewards. That being said, Wuthering seems to me as one of the few gatcha that is actually more permissive to creative teams than other games out there were you are hard locked into roles and characters.

Good thing I got enough pulls and asterites saved up to be able to get Shorekeeper, Shorekeepers weapon, Camellya and Camellyas weapon. Skipping Jinhsi and Changli was a good decision.

I regret pulling for Zhezhi. To maximize her potential, I'm somewhat forced to pull for the upcoming glacio DPS.

I got Zezhi (even if I don't like her at all) just so my Jinshi doesn't need other characters. Thanks to this choice, I can clear all endgame with just 2 teams (Jinshi/Zhezhi, Encore/Verina) and I only pulled for 2 limited characters until now. Now I'm free to ignore the meta and focus on characters I like, aka Camellya

“1.2 was a filler patch” *me who got both weapons combined 141 wishes and zhezhi in 1 pull exhausting my world exploration events and everything*🗿💀

I'm one of a few ppl who love 1.2 characters and weapons. The characters in 1.3 and 1.4 also not my cup of tea so this situation is great for me. I have so many time to save my pulls.

Shorekeeper is meta-pull and Camellya is fanservice pull. This is a clear indicator of pulling for Shorekeeper more than ever.

i honestly have no strong opinions on any of the upcoming characters. im kind of interested in 4* Lumi but that should be a pretty easy pull. mostly just gonna save until something really cool and different comes out.

i liked 1.2 bc of xiangli yao but now that camellya is coming im saving pulls for her and passing on shorekeeper and youhu. i’ll get shorekeeper for my side accounts bc i dont have yinlin on those. i like to have my most wanted characters on my main account and new characters i don’t particularly care to play as on my side accounts

6:32 Ayo Baizhi work pretty well with Jiyan and Mortefi.

I was already going to spend as much as required for the upcoming characters. Zhezhi + weapon just happened to only take me an additional $20 😂. The good thing about having apparently only 1 new 5* per patch coming up is that both will have the benefit of fresh convene item bundles and the patch limited 7 per convene items in the shop. 1.2 having yhe 2nd new 5* for free only solidified my lack of need to spend too terribly much for the patch. Woulda been like $500 for genshin 😢 Those factors alone will probably leave my having to spend only bare minimum again for both 1.3 and 1.4 characters and weapons like with Zhezhi.
