Dima, you should pick a different Color than Yellow when showing land the Ukraine capture/entered that was traditionally Russian. Same as Ukrainian Land captured by Russia is Red while Traditional Russia is Purple. This way it's easier to tell how and where who pushed and retreated.
Donetsk republic commander, Alexander Khodakovsky about Kursk: "The enemy’s actions in Kursk fit well into the logic of this phase of the war: when he's knocked down, he needs to quickly raise hands & show that he's combat-ready. The day before I wrote that in one form or another we will see attempts to seize the initiative. Nevertheless, this is agony. The enemy made a big mistake. From a military point of view, the direction was optimal: in areas of constant battles, the front is cemented & it's difficult to break through. But this also works against the enemy: without being able to gain a foothold & create a layered defense, it will be impossible to maintain a bridgehead. Then what is the effect of this “action”? What have you achieved? Shown that Russia is vulnerable? To push into a specific area not involved in hostilities while losing manpower & equipment is not a miracle & doesn't speak of your potential. The real potential has long been calculated & taken into account. Will this raise the morale of those units that are suffering from our pressure? I very much doubt it...But it forced Russian society to look at the situation differently, it strengthened the just desire to break the enemy & put an end to the threat."
Actually it destroys Russian confidence in their govt. a thousand Ukrainian troops wreaking havoc on Russian civilians. It shows how utterly incompetent Russian leadership is. Much more than propaganda
When things are in favour of Russia our mainstream TV channels (LCI) talk about our internal affairs. When things seem in favour of Ukrain, then they tak about external affairs. Now that the situation seems stabilized in Kursk, they will return back to internal affairs..
The same overhere with BBC. Sometimes days go by without even mentioning the conflict in the Ukraine. Nothing but the usual programming: Strictly come dancing, Euro Song festival, Euro football, Olympic Games etcetera. If it wasn't for Military Summary, Weeb or History Legends, nobody would even know there is a war going on in the East.
Western government controlled media ( BBC , France 24 , DW news , PBS , ABC , CBC )is all about dishing out an endless stream of woke propaganda. They have no real investigative journalism anymore.
"Whatever Ukros planned to do in Kursk it clearly did not work out. Happy oinking will soon be replaced by embarrassed silence and sudden amnesia." - Censorship is unacceptable.
@@quemades His predictions are about as accurate as Tim Pool prophesying that President Trump was going to win the 2020 election, which isn't really fair, since Trump DID win, but had it stolen from him. Still, Tim Pool is constantly making outlandish statements that don't come true, but he keeps making them anyway. That's why I unsubscribed from both Tim Pool and Dima a long time ago. The only reason I started to watch Dima was because he popped up on the side bar, and I was curious as to whether he is still spouting nonsense...
Just because some small group of soldiers take a picture with a flag doesn't mean control. Propaganda sneak in take a photo then run, do this over and over to spread misinformation. That's my opinion
Its not perfect of course, but if Dima and his team are able to confirm that these are indeed Ukrainian soldiers they wouldn't be there with Russian permission so it acts as de facto proof in the absence of more formal declarations. Of course the situation could just as easily revert back to Russian control the next day and Dima would duly change the map back.
@@andrewmckenzie292in other video people with relative in that area confirmed it is not Ukraine soldiers but POLISH. Nato is sending huge amount of soldiers now
I don't think Zelensky's making many decisions these days. He's a captive of events just as much as any other POW. I suspect this is an attempt to derail any potential for Zelensky to fold. Not long ago he was crying and talking about ending the 'hot' fighting.
the difference between Russia and Ukraine is that at the moment like this, Russian flock to the enlistment office to join the army while Ukrainians are trying their best to get out of the country.
Russia has invaded more countries this century. Then all of the west combined. You might think Russia is peaceful. But the facts demonstrate they are more aggressive and war hungry than even American 😳
@@AlOh-2 That's lies. The only country Russia has invaded is Ukraine. Not even Georgia counts (reaction to Georgian attack on Russian peacekeepers), nor Syria (Russian armed forces are present there because they have been invited by the Syrian head of state), nor Chechnya (Russian internal matter). The West? Iraq, Afghanistan, Lybia come to mind.
Well, it seems that the Ukrainian offensive in Kursk is already failing. In the first two days, the Ukrainian units tried to be very speedy and advance as quickly as possible. They no longer do that, while their zone of control is still pretty small and they have not reached any location of strategic value, neither the city of Kursk nor the nuclear power plant. That means they have most likely lost the race and now starts part of surviving the bombardment and clinging on to territory. With the Ukrainian mappers seemingly ceasing to feature updates from within Ukraine and the desperate moves by Kiev to publish clips with a flag planted on Crimean soil, the circumstances hint at the possibility that even the Kursk offensive is part of a media campaign to raise morale in Ukraine - which is a very stupid reason for these suicide actions. The second, but secret, reason is likely to kill any momentum towards peace talks.
It is neither a pause or a stabilization. Russia is destroying this Kursk offensive. The Uke's lost 139 tanks and other material and hundreds of men. Watch Adrei Martyanov's friday video "The Template" and he will explain what's really going on.
Putin has always fought this war the same way Abraham Lincoln fought the US Civil War; not too fiercely, not too much brutality, not too much scorched earth. Lincoln knew the country would have to heal afterwards, Putin is convinced of the same. However even Lincoln reached a point he had to unleash Sherman because the Confederacy wasn't getting the message...."
@trevorsutherland5263 You may need to take a refresher on Civil war history. It was the most murderous campaign that nobody had the comprehension for at the time. Sherman's march was inspiration for the mustached man's early campaigns.
Whose brother? While Putin was crying over Sirak I remember the words of that killer that no more laugh for Serbian children. They give weapons to all except Serbians, they helped even North Korea, China, Iran, Syria but nothing for us. Hope doesn't have right in anyone but in God and in your own hands.
Tricky to tell the difference between assembling a large defensive force and an attacking one...they may have wrongly assumed the Ukrainians were moving men into the Suma Region ready to defend against a Russian push into that territory ...Either way its a massive intelligence failure on the Russian side
GSC Game world is actually going to release STALKER 2, they must be working from Californyanya... though I think they lost some members to "recruitment".
Dima, you should pick a different Color than Yellow when showing land the Ukraine capture/entered that was traditionally Russian. Same as Ukrainian Land captured by Russia is Red while Traditional Russia is Purple. This way it's easier to tell how and where who pushed and retreated.
NATO goading Russia, trying to tempt Russia into invading NATO directly. No...NATO must invade Russia first (which they kind of are here) so that Russia has the advantage of shorter supply lines, hopefully the eastern border with US is not too lightly defended, US may try to open a second front in future. US will likely lose in the hostile environment, but it'd still be a headache for Russia.
The biggest weakness of Russia is Putin. He doesn't allow the Russian army to finish the job. A news article by NYT about two months ago suggested that Putin can't afford to finish the war soon, as the Russian military industry has heavily invested in this war. Prigochin made similar remarks.
I wonder how Zelenski will want to negotiate after this. Mainly because he shouted that Russia must be present at the next negotiation. So did Klitschko, who admitted the possibility of ceding territory.
Zelensky has no intentions of ceding territory but he will do anything to stay in power. Including making another phony deal which the Russian will refuse. All for show. Nothing behind it.
Big difference though. The territory Russia is liberating is full of ethnic Russians that want to be part of Russia. No one on these areas under Ukrainian control wants to be part of Ukraine. That will make it very hard for the Ukrainians to hold such territory.
They maybe did it because progress of the Russian army in Donbass is going well and soon all of it could be Russian. Than Putin could declare the end of SMO. Zelensky can't have this and hopes to prevent it if he holds part of Russian territory.
The Ukra troops are still something like 100-120 km from the city of Kursk,, most of them haven't gt further than like 10 km (six miles) inside the border. Their chances of actually putting a grasp on Kursk are nil, I would say - they will be expelled way before that. This offensive makes no sense in military terms for the Ukr!s, I would say they're mostly playing for media attention and to try to broadcast to the West: "HEY I'M' STILL STANDING! I am still able to fight - but you gotta send us even more and heavier weapons!". Just like two years ago during the Kupjansk-Lyman offensive they are trying to create a media stir, hoping to be able to cash in on it by more armament and more support. But time is not on the Ukries side...
What do El Chapo and Ukros have in common? Their actions taught us a lot of place names in thier respective countries. From Chapo we learnt Sinaloa, Guadelahara, Nayyarit etc. From Ukros we learnt Krynki, Belahorivka and Niu York.
Pro Russian or pro Ukraine. Its crazy how you can say go Russia we are winning. The fact that Ukraine invaded is unacceptable. People cheering for Ukraine if you think there winning your wrong. If this goes to 7 or 8 year war it will eventually lose.
The conflict started before 2022, it started before 2014, arguably it started the moment the cold war ended. It was NATO that moved east since the 90-ies, it was the US and EU that meddled in elections, it was the US/CIA that organized and financed color revolutions. It was easy to simply “ignore” the pro-Russian population of Ukraine, calling them separatist, traitors, silencing them, disenfranchising them and discriminating them. If you look at what the west has done against Russia since 1991 it is a miracle the peace lasted this long - well peace is a misnomer, the hybrid war never stopped, not even after the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact and break up of the Soviet Union, only the methods changed, the goals stayed the same, subjugation and dissolution of Russia for western economic exploitation. This is an existential war and the west isn’t ready for it, 40 years of neoliberalism have gutted western economic capacity. The global south is ready to break with the western “rule based international order” which is a euphemism for western imperialism, neocolonialism and exploitation.
The Ukrainians have launched the largest military invasion of the Russian homeland since Nazi Germany launched Operation Barbarossa in 1941. Amazingly, we have yet to hear of any Kinzal missile strikes destroying the five bridges that cross the Dnieper River. Those bridges are a great aid in assisting the Ukrainians in their military operations in the Donbas. I have read and listened to many people make the analogy of Ukraine's invasion of the Kursk Oblast to the Battle of the Bulge. They yet may be e proven right. One important difference is that generals Eisenhower, MacArthur, and Zhukov would never let those bridges stand when it was in their power to destroy this vital enemy transportation infrastructure. Those men were not under the illusion that their enemy was somehow one people with their country. It's time that President Putin becomes more concerned with the lives of the people of the Russian Federation than with a foreign adversary.
Yes, Dima was stating the ridiculous situation whereby a sideshow battle of a few thousand troops dominates daily reports where relatively nearby a battle involving tens of thousands hardly gets mentioned. I suppose its due to the age we live in where attention spans are short and demand something new or different to attract them. I'm sure Dima and other channels have benefited from this PR stunt in the Kursk front!
Wasn't there a ban mentioned by RIA NOVOSTI that essentially says any Russian personel recording on the front line can be imprisoned for a minimum of 10 days, unless it is for operational purposes? Hence we will be receiving less and less Russian combat footage.
Just as I pointed out, all the rubbish we were being told how Ukraine have pulled off some incredible achievement, and that has Russia is on the back foot has been debunked, made to look really stupid, and it was so obvious... Just report on what matters.
I wonder if the Russians didn't let the Ukrainians do it in order to end it in good faith! In this war everything is seen, so it is unlikely that the Russians didn't see the regrouping of Ukrainian units! At least that's my opinion!
I guess the Russian high command wasn't lying about stabilizing the front. It just took a little longer for the troops to get there than they anticipated.
Ukraine is opening new front everywhere. My question is can they hold the front for long. We all know they cant hold this for long it will be shame if they are forced out.
The incursion was designed to capture the nuclear plant, as such it has now failed, it makes little sense for Ukraine to lose large amounts of equipment and men on this advance. As Russian reserves pour in the risk is now for a rapid reversal.
Russian troops , including Wagner , Ahmad and other special units , have already been deployed to the Kursk region , they have been given " Special powers " not to take prisoners.
Ich glaube auch nicht das die Russen vorhaben, an diesem Frontabschnitt viele Gefangene zu machen. Für die Soldaten, die auf ukrainischer Seite einmarschiert sind, ist das ein Selbstmordkommando.
If I recall correctly Dima reported on significant Ukronazi forces in the Kursk area weeks ago & that Budanov was there overseeing the situation. And there were Russian forces in the region who Ukraine suspected were going to start a Russian offensive in that area which is why Budanov was there. The Ukronazi’s beat them to the punch but so what? The situation in Kharkov is now beginning to seem insignificant. It’s a war so shit happens.
Brazil is indeed supporting Russia, the way we can. Of course Russia is not our enemy! Only bakers and other micro-business people is defending US, like always. They think they are capitalists.
One would presume that after two years of fighting, the Russians would have learned the concept of ISR (intelligence surveillance reconnaissance) from the NATO and Ukrainian forces!
If the Ukrainians know about all these , why are they not still in control of Crimea? All they can manage is to put a flag on an island where noone lives, that too for half an hour while losing all the people who did that? Why are they so desperate? I mean they do have a more or less stable foothold in Kursk and a significant media victory(?) Unless all they want is to boost morale which apprently is low among the armed forces of Ukraine and also the civilians? This type of operations bear striking resemblance to suicide attack by militants in Afghanistan. Sorry .
@@jys76 True! However, we know that Ukrainians do not make any decisions by themselves. The decisions are made by the US and the UK. The US and the UK do not give a you know what about the Ukrainian lives. All they want is to humiliate and to weaken Russia. I just wish that the Russian enforces, in particular, President Putin, would take this more seriously, rather than calling it a special military operation. This war should have ended last year.
Maybe the Russian elites wanted this situation , yes there are some negatives with dead civilians and border guards but they will use this situation to their advantage soon , RIP Sumy region
Old information, the Ukrainian attack has been stopped and in some points the Ukrainians have withdrawn, going on the defensive. It is a matter of time before the Russian troops regroup and the Ukrainians will be in great need, supplies and the like.
There's been a lot of garbage flying around that oversells the Ukrainian led Kursk incursion. They are acting as if they're on the verge of taking Kursk city & that they haven't been slowed down by the Russians. I'm also blown away that any Z people have been repeating the Ukrainian propaganda regarding the Kursk Incursion.
Yeah , like Russian MOD said they'd wiped out the Ukrainians and stopped their advance after the first day. As usual , Russian MoD lied and they're looking pretty stupid right now.
There is no question that the ukrainian force will quickly need to retreat now arguably the purpose was to force Russians to guard their borders (thus spreading out ressources) and of course the impact on russian population war fatigue.
This was planned in advance for a long time and they stoped progressing rn and putting down defenses in Russian territory. So I think it will take really long time until they decide to leave I bet few weeks or even a month and Russians doing stupid by sending small groups there and killing their own soldiers
If that's their aim, then all they did was loose thousands of soldiers and hundreds of pieces of equipment for a stupid PR stunt. They are obviously trying to get a negotiating position for future talks. Unfortunately, for them, The Russians will destroy them with artillery and air power. The Ukrainians are going to lose alot of their best brigades in this stupid PR stunt, which will only deepen their woes further.
I've noticed that all other sites are just covering northern Ukraine and they are bragging about Ukraine's sucess. I guess Russia taking over more villages and territory each day is not important .
Dima you're spreading Ukranian propaganda and thos selfies they like to take. It means nothing in terms of strategic victories. There is nothing they can hold for any significant amount of time.
This relying heavily on published videos as proof of occupation is strange. It is the easiest thing to fool. I can take a video today and play it one week later. I can take several videos with slight changes and publish as I wish. The masters of propaganda can make whatever they want with that.
@@ernestworrellspeaksout1285 Why? because empires always get too big and they fail. Globalization will never work, and should be resisted at all costs.
Some people pay for satellite imagery that can show you temperature differences day to day. These satellites are often used to check on wildfires in very remote areas and now we can use them to see a concentration of explosions in a specific area. The more a specific area is bombed the more things are on fire. The satellite picks up the temperature difference and it shows up as an anomaly.
Have you also noticed the colour of Ukrainian APCs.....and tactical sign...IT LOOK RUSSIAN! At best, it's a massive infiltration, and PICTURE TAKING SPREE
Imo situation is out of control. we will see a lot of fierce battles ahead. i fear that there may be some desperate measures from both sides. i wanna be wrong, i really do. but i see the radioactive phantom on the horizon. Russia is Not our enemy 🇧🇷🇷🇺
I am a big supporter of the Russian Federation and what they are doing for their people and for the world, but what their army and intelligence services are doing is embarrassing on this section of the front. Aa a superpower you cannot allow you this.
I must say, it’s very disappointing to see how long this war is being dragged on. In WW2, the Germans managed to occupy whole of Europe + at the gates of Moscow, in the same time Russia is fighting Ukraine and only managed to only take around 27% of Ukraine…
@@muhammadtaufiqaprialdy4896 thats true but even then, taking only 27% of Ukraine after almost 3 years, is pretty slow. Not to mention, we might have drones and missiles now, but in WW2 both sides had millions and millions of troops and thousands of tanks and thousands of airplanes so that was just equally difficult, just differently.
Currently, no country, maybe except for China and India can summon multi-million soldiers to fight abroad and absorb ww2 level casualties. Now people live too comfortably for this to be accepted.
@@bighit20100 Clearly RU made the decision to have the fight contained in one line when it became clear that western countries will engage heavily with UA as proxy and decided to wage a war of attrition. Stop focusing on territory gains so much, after all, the RU push will get progressively bigger and frontline change will grow exponentially as UA army gets depleted more and more.
