This dude portrays anger probably better than any actor I've ever seen. The trembling and his speech patterns, the look in his eyes is authentic rage. How it morphs back and forth into sadness and regret. Bravo.
@@chrismason4224Jon Bernthal does an incredible job of this. Him and Tom Pelphrey, both do it without flaw. They make you feel their hate. Their anger. Their sadness. And they make you like it
@@trey206this guy acts circles around Bernthal. He was scary in Fury but other than that he comes off as try hard tough. This actor and his character in Ozark violent and unhinged and I believed every second he was on screen
You know I was so upset at Siobhan's death that I thought anyone who replaced her at the BSD would fail in comparison. The writers got fucking lucky with this guy. He's pretty terrific.
He was so good in Guiding Light and he is truly an amazing actor and so hot. I love him. I think I may have met him at the airport I was working at in Lafayette, La but I'm not too sure because it was almost 2 years ago and by the time he left I realized who he was. If it was him he didnt look like what he looks like in movies and shows. Very nice guy though.
I remember Tom Pelphrey from his soap opera days. He was extremely talented and had crazy potential. So impressed by this 'breakout' role as Kurt. The tattoos make my skin crawl but the actor's handsome and plays Kurt with a certain soft-spoken magnetism. His obvious remorse and need to atone for his past make him so sympathetic, even though I was fighting it.
Amanda, exactly. I loathe everything that those tattoos stand for but love Tom Pelphrey's ability to bring Kurt Bunker to life and making me want to cheer him on in spite of his because he is trying to become something better. Serious kudos to Pelphrey, this scene with Servito is amazing.
Everyone pretty much killed it in the show! Hoon Lee was spectacular playing the the most likeable and entertaining cross-dressing gay person in TV history. Ulrich was phenomenal playing one of the most intriguing antagonists in Kai. I mean who wasn't excellent?
@@LukeSchaeferFilms I’ve watched every season I think 3 times show by show . More you watch the more you catch certain shit. Haven’t watched in a few years but if you are new to it then please enjoy ✊🏽✌🏽
Keyword here being the "Ex" part, people seem to believe in second chances, i think there are some exceptions but usually not for someone genuinely filled with guilt/regret and trying to do better.
@Moon Cricket First off, my comment was from 2 years ago. Why feel the need to kick up shit now? Second, nobody said anything is wrong with pride in your heritage, but did you even watch the fucking show or know why people take issue with neonazis irl? Its the violence part while trying to excuse it, don't skip on that for convenience. Third, BLM isn't about "heritage pride" to begin with. And they are a bunch of retards anyway that use excuses to burn cities, so nice job comparing yourself to them.
I'm really happy he's finally getting the attention he deserves. I hated it when despite his performance here, he was still a no one to people until he got in Iron Fist, and Ozark. I literally felt this scene when I watched this years ago and made me love the show even more
fantastic acting job by actor... gets me going... u know character has done evil things by testimony... but he & make u want to see him complete his quest 4 at least partial redemption. freaking great example why thid show will be sooooo missed...
I saw this guy in ironfist, and he immediately stood out to me, then i see clips of him in ozark and hes amazing on there, and now i see clips of him in banshee and hes phenomenal!! This guy is actually insane when he acts, its almost like i believe he went through those things his characters went through, its scarily convincing.
They should have a show about it. Because you feel every raw painful emotion there is, in that broken man. But the actor who plays him brings that to the table even in the Netflix show, Iron Fist.
this scene is powerful for two reasons..one its a fine acting job obviously, and two...it relates to whats happening with cops today which is obvious as well
Can't wait until season 4 JUST to see Bunker come out and get to know about him. The second I saw Bunker I was like DAYUM, Banshee is gonna reach a whole new level.
Just found this show because i saw a scene of this guy. He single handedly made me watch the show. And im about to start season 4. And somehow they made me love an ex neo nazi. By far one of the most impressive scenes of acting i have ever seen.
I wont elaborate.. but I too have felt that and concluded it was Shame and Guilt.. and I've fought against it. Because it wasnt really my fault. I was forced into accepting the outcome, I had no way to change what ended up happening to me. I was Angry at myself, at 2 or so others, and I was Angry at the .. I will say Group. But I was ashamed how it all turned out, I felt guilt for me, the group, and my comrades. Took years to accept most, all of it .. but I still keep a lot of it to myself, because now I'm an in between, I was Disgraced, and forced into my situation, have to live on with it. So I can be proud of what I was but I feel i always have to keep a lot back.
This is why people should always give people another chance and should never hold resentment since u never know what someone is goin thru. We’ve all made mistakes and done things that would warrant us in jail. I like how Kurt portrays regret and shame and without people willing to love us then we tend to feel alone even tho none of us are clean in this world.
It's ironic to think how Brock would have never have become the type of sheriff the town of Banshee needed without initially taking a back seat to a criminal who faked his way to the head of law enforcement.
I love Bunker as much as all of you do , but can we not give it up for Brock who has always done the best he can in whatever shitty situation he was in and how understanding he is towards all of deputies? God this show was so good. I finished it last night and now I feel so empty knowing that it is over. Banshee is such a great show.
Tom Pelphrey would be prefect for a Moon Knight series if they ever make one on Netflix. This clip alone would be enough to get him hired, the dialogue is similar to something that Moon Knight would say.
