I think we will see more from this guy in the future. Almost everybody agrees that Iron Fist was not really good, but Tom was amazing. He delivered two strong performances within two years this will increase his chances for a good part immensely.
I absolutely fell in love with all these flawed characters in Banshee, especially Bunker and Hood. However, Job has to be my favorite. Can't wait to see how his and Bunker's storylines develop in the 4th season.
Oh I watched all of Iron Fist. It's not as bad as critics say. That isn't exactly a good thing but yeah. After seeing him fight in "Banshee" I thought we'd see him brawl with Iron Fist, maybe become Iron Serpent or another villain but no. Kind of a waste. But he did good all the same. And yes, if Banshee's budget hadn't been cut the final season I imagine they'd have gone into detail about his past and further efforts taking down the Brotherhood. Would've been a good use of Lucas Hood's connection to the FBI, to get that corrupt Senator.
tfly999 I like the way they did the senator last scene he was a bad man but he a proud man he never gonna run away from his known fate and the fact the his personal assistant killed Rebecca and proctor never killed him for that shows how strong his relationship was with him cause he really protector over Rebecca it shock me. Yh season 4 never even did the 10 episodes it did 8. I'm only on episode 3 with iron fist but I heard Jo from banshee in iron fist as well lol I look forward to that
He played such an annoying dweeb in that show I didn't believe it was him when I saw this comment....then I listened to his voice a lot closer and yup....boy they wasted what this gy could have done in that crap bag series.
Considering his action scene in this show, he should have been cast as Iron Fist... He def had more experience with shooting action scene then Fin Jones and also more Charisma
I am binge watching this series only now, glad I found it. It is massively underrated and all the characters and the actors who played them are just so good. primo!
@@rc9006 i think i’m in the small minority who really couldn’t get into it😬 finished s1 n never could be arsed to watch it after, all suphero-ed out i think now
Monstar A He actually gets passed on instantly in the beginning, but he helps them out and then he removes that tattoo. Also, the Sheriff is not a real Sheriff, he’s a criminal impersonating a Sheriff.
The way he almost barely grits his teeth while saying ''Tell my brother I'll be seeing him real soon.'' shows what top acting this is because you can really hear the anger seething from him
Ive watched about 40-50 tv shows in the last 2 years and the thing ive seen only Banshee do is how they show backstories of all the characters and mostly keep them an open book. It just makes you love the secondary characters even more and thats my favorite part about this show
Seeing 2 ways of life going. One trying to live the life and redeeming as it should be, and the other giving him problems because he saw the light against the dark. Also a bit of revenge as well. The deputy edge to the whole thing makes this better.
I loved the show! Nothing but greatness. I was a little disappointed it only got 5 seasons but it did them rather well. Didn't have to force anymore story onto the audience.
Because it works. get your knees over their arms and they can't fight back. you can wail on them until you can see your knuckle bones and they can't do a damn thing.
@@theo-jamesmoulton2000 I agree with that most of the time. Most people even with some training cant defend that for long. Also, Im being sincere here and im not trying to be "that guy" or anything but I've literally knocked a guy the fuck out when he got the mounted position, but admittedly it's because he trained some mma with muay thai / boxing base and i had fought him before as well as i was taller than he was and like many people that practice something they arent prepared for "foul tactics".In mma / grappling matches with strikes allowed when people mount someone they absolute last thing they think will happen while they pummel you is getting kicked in the BACK of the head / knees to the kidneys. And I'm talkin this guy was out for blood also tbh. IT was a REAL fight and he had me mounted so good his front of the knees were in my arm pits. I timed it where as he rained down the fists on about the 9th one or sohe would buck backwards to launch another haymaker and I instep / shinstep did a stiff leg type front kick ( best way to describe it is goose stepping lol ) . You have to turn as well ands you wont get full power , but it is afterallk a "punch" type strike.
BuckGreywolfe Oh my god😵, i didn’t knew it, you’re fucking genius sir, you’re a fucking genius, let me aplaude you. Of course I know is fictional, you asshole
I'm Indian and I just love the character of Kurt Bunker.. His journey from extremism to normal life is well-portrayed... which i usually find many series sadly :)
@@sash0047 bro honestly and the thing is I’m Indian too but it’s fucking irrelevant. THATS BESIDE THE POINT. Like his character is a FORMER NEO-NAZI seeking redemption. Everyone has to announce all of a sudden why this is justifiable like stfu honestly. Like no one cares.
one thing i didn't realize by watching this sceneis my appreciation and love for Brock, a character who I didn't pay much attention to that has a lot of good character that largely gets overshadowed by the rest of the amazing cast. Too many good characters. I don't know what I will watch after I finis hit :(
Something I love about Banshee is that it has great characters that we love seeing and doesn’t rely on the classic “any character could die at any minute” trope that some writers use in their series thinking its super edgy and bold when really it’s just over used and cliche.
How old are you? What you descripe is just used in game of Thrones and Walking dead. The "everyone can die" was actually quite nice because usally main Character never die
this show if marketed properly and enough people saw it it would have been as popular as GOT and breaking bad...it was REALLY GOOD and to be honest i enjoyed banshee 100 times maybe even 1,000 more than sons of anarchy...SOA had too much repetitive petty drama whereas banshee may have had dramatic scenes and extreme characters it was acted so well and the action was killer and great cast...just more believable in my opinion...real guts and blood performances lots of heart
the actors around charlie really suffered. some of the delivery is shite, but also the writing in soa unfortuantely just tappered off. They went to fast with certain characters changing in the ways they did. Not to name names for spolier purposes. but by season 3 its really annoying one of hte main femme fetales is just purely always against the main protags interests for LITERALLY 0 REASOn then just extra conflict.
Easily, I think it could've rated higher than both if it got the same media attention. BB and BCS were good, but not in the same level for me. SoA was very slow, much prefer The Shield to SoA actually. But none come close to Banshee and The Sopranos, the most iconic and original written TV characters come from those 2 shows imo. Even minor parts were written well and casted perfectly.
Bunker was/is one of, if not my absolute fav characters on the show.. Pelphrey’s character in ‘The Punisher’ is my fav character there too, dudes a beast lol, super talented. Fun fact, a buddy of mine is one of the dudes who gets tied up to a support beam in the barn during the rave lol. He got to meet quite a few people from the cast, even as an uncredited extra, he said everybody he met was cool and down to earth. Also, Thick44 from Neebs Gaming is in the show too lol
@@grayden4138 no, I’m all the way trippin, I got Ward and Billy Russo mixed up, my b.. But I do remember watching Season 2 of the Punisher after Iron Fist, and thinking that Tom Pelphrey would’ve been *the perfect* Billy Russo, and should’ve got that part, although he was a good Ward Meachum
