Loved the way you guys did this! However, it would be cool, that after you turned in your picks, that you went back through the glasses and talked about how you came to your conclusions with the smell and tasting notes and etc.
I'm a newer follower/patron and what I really appreciate is the down to earth, regular approach to hosting this. It makes you "feel" like you could do this, even though I know I couldn't lol. You guys are fantastic and I have learned so much. Keep up the great work!
Maybe reconsider the points a bit more. It is *a lot* easier to guess the bourbon that is the star of the episode, you have a 1/4 chance of getting it right just by a random guess. The others are actually much harder to guess. Maybe +2/-2 for a right/wrong guess about the star bourbon, and +3/-1 for a right/wrong guess about the others? And you have to guess the star, but you don't have to guess any of the others. These are fun to watch guys, thanks.
So Trenton picked all the bottles to choose the 4 from, but I wonder if Kurt gets to know those bottles as well? Feels like it would be a advantage for Trenton if not? Love the channel guys!

Yeah if this is true not fair to Kurt. Needs to be completely blind or they both know the pool. At least Kurt went for it and guessed them all anyways, yolo!
Great video gents! I recommend for future show downs, hand in your submissions then before the answers are revealed, go through each and tell us what you tasted in each. Then reveal what they are. Looking forward to the next video!

Wild Turkey 101 was one of the first bourbons I had where I "got it". And then the rye did the same thing for rye. For a college kid, they were a splurge for parties haha. Still love 101 to this day.
Thumbnail gets me every time 🤣 I think the current scoring discourages guessing. How about this: All incorrect guesses are -1. Guess the pour you know is in there based on smell only +2 Guess the pour you know is in there based on palate +1 Guess other pour based on smell only +3 Guess other pour based on palate +2. Maybe Kurt gets double points for based on smell alone due to medical handicap? 😂 Thanks for the video in any case!
Fun stuff! Would love to see a video with you guys talking about what type of whiskeys you drink with certain meals. Like what meals work best with bourbon, Irish whiskey, scotch, and so forth!
The entire bourbon industry suffered heart palpitations with Trent's "smells like the inside of a PVC pipe ... in your plumbing, you know - the crust". As repulsed as I am (and deeply amused by Kurt's awesome reaction to that non sequitur) ... I'm going to pull that one on SOMEONE very soon. You learn something ... SOMETHING ... in every video. You know guys, the frustrating thing for me is that you guys brilliantly inform us on a lot of bourbons that unfortunately most of us will never be able to obtain. I truly hate this whole controlled distribution game that the distilleries are playing to create cult like demand and of course keep their prices elevated. I just want to purchase, sit and sip... not play Indiana Jones in search of the lost arch!!😤 You guys seem to have everything... I need your hookup!!😉

Be careful in saying “I only guessed A and B.” You’re letting your competitor know that you believe Wild Turkey is either A or B. Of course you could be lying to throw the other off or wrong. As others mentioned, I hope both competitors know the panel of bottles that the four are being selected from. It’s a big advantage to know what potentially could and could not be in the glass.

I just tried WT101 Rye this week for the first time. Wow! An absolutely delicious rye, and impossible to beat at that price. Now I have to try Rare Breed Rye. I'm becoming a WT guy myself.
Can you do a complete Maker's Mark lineup review. I'm really digging the 46 94 proof. I found in my area in Southwest Florida that Walmart liquor and Sam's club liquor are the only one selling under MSRP by quite a bit. For instance old Forester 1920 is $59 at every place I went to including Total wine and ABC but is only $46 at Walmart.
Hey Trent, I remember in past episodes you would be in wonderment when your Pops would say this bourbon has a clove note or clove taste. Try a couple Leffe Belguim Blonde beers to get that clove note to be identifiable without having to chew on a couple lol. Cheers T
I really like Old Grandad high rye mash bottled in bond. I think that would stand up some of the best sipping whiskeys, especially because of the low price.

Don't let the thought that y'all might influence each other stop y'all from talking. We come for the bourbon we stay because of the comments and interaction.
You should change the point scheme. Do it like the Stableford system in golf. Award more points for picking one right than for missing one. It rewards a correct guess and incites both of you to hazard a guess more frequently.
I think you guys should try some blinds where your glasses are in different order so nobody can say you are influencing your ranks. Then at end we see how you guys compare.. just a thought.. this episode was fun fyi.
