@@ericjohnson5822 it's the one on this platform, it was last year, cease corrected the interviewer a couple of times especially on the one with quad shooting. The interviewer was grilling him like he was doing with kurupt.
Finally!!! Somebody giving a real perspective against someone saying that they would've done that wasn't there, and how those opportunities weren't there til now!
Kurupt is on point... No one is looking at it from a retrospect. How many people got the opportunity they had, to be taken off the streets and put in front of hundreds of millions of people with no previous track record. No matter how you cut it, that was a blessing. What they did with it afterwards was on them.
Bingo that's all he's been saying this whole interview but people was in the comments trippin on him when he was talking about how they were paid in one of the previous clips. Kurupt understands the concept of accountability.
You think he’s being on honest when he says how he left Death Row in 96? He was sent home to Philly fr, and I’m not gonna repeat why but that info is out there. Reggie Wrights saw to that
Kurupt is a pedophile 100% facts look it up who gives a fuck what he says and thinks dude should have been crucified by the streets and thrown in jail by the law… 🤦🏽♂️
Honestly being Kurupt & Dogg Pound fan my whole life made me look at life different and chill. Thanks, G! One of the greatest ever! I will always remember that quote "I would never change anything from my past cause that would change the man I am today"
Not everyone. Fuc' Snoop!!! 'Pac was there for you.... when it was time for you to show improve.... you failed. Real nigga's do REAL THINGS!!!! Fake nigga's do fake things as well... apparently.
Speak for yourself. Ice Cube didn’t just ride the wave when he seen the money getting funny with NWA. Everybody not a fool like some folks are. Some people actually have the balls and brains to leave in these situations.
Suge would have slapped him and then all the OG Pirus would have beaten him down and make him apologize for wasting everyone's time, then Reggie Wright would have escorted him out of the building and told him to get a new pair of underwear.
People don't realise when your young at the time your just living in the moment and now people can say what they want to say now they are looking back in hindsight. 💯
Artist wasn't getting paid like that or deal reconstruction until after 2Pac and Biggie died because that's when Rap music took over as the number 1 music genre in the 2000's almost every artist went platinum.
Yes he did most people wouldn't understand the situation unless they've been there that's where most people be getting it messed up at is not knowing what it's like to be in someone else's shoes.
Not quite 4. it started with The Chronic. Which was released the last weeks of Dec 92. But didnt make an impact until 1993. Death Row died with 2Pac. 7 Day theory and Doggfather were the end of lucrative Death Row. They lived off of posthumous Pac releases after that
@@thedistinguishedcriticsthey was balling hard during the chronic days..😅😂 goe' look at the footage...hood rich at least... you seen everyone was trying to get with the row...at one point in time.... shit they were stupid balling during the collapse....who else besides puff..in that time we're riding Bentleys....???
@@dianev3067 However you slice it, Death Row RAN the rap game for 4 YEARS. The Chronic dropped in 92'. Forget the month.Tha Dogg father in late 96'. Outside of maybe Bad Boy, DR was the label moving hella units. That's 4 years of The Chronic, Doggystyle, Dogg Food, All Eyez On Me in between. They killed the game
Suge would have slapped him and then all the OG Pirus would beat him down and make him apologize for wasting everyone's time, then Reggie Wright would have escorted him out of the building and told him to get a new pair of underwear.
@@universalconquest4447exactly,I remember reading something about a producer telling tupac to ask Suge could he get paid since he was producing beats for death row,Suge told Tupac to tell the producer to kick rocks,he wasn't paying him sh**t, 😂
Man Suge would not have done sht..if he talk back I would slap him and anybody in that office that talked back..and I'm saying that in the comfort of my living room in 2024 on my phone....😂😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly, the knowledge and experience is priceless... It allows all these kids to do what they are able to do today, having knowledge about their worth with 360 deals or independence in the industry.
@AustinTheTruth No,not correct! Ice Cube was smart enough not to sign the contract with Ruthless Records..He knew about business because he had graduated college..At the end of the day it's about principle & reasoning that separates the successful from the not so successful..Ice Cube knew his self worth and believed he deserved more than what he was getting from Ruthless records..So that's why he didn't sign..That is the difference..In the case of Snoop,he was lucky to have met Master P who took a chance to sign him to No Limit records..It was Master P who taught Snoop business strategies & self development..Otherwise,Snoop would have probably ended up like Kurupt & other Deathrow artists!
Snoop and the dogg pound were in their teens when they started getting in the game. Back then they were probably more excited to see themselves on tv, hear themselves on the radio and go on the road getting groupies. Sometimes it’s better to establish yourself when you’re just starting and keep the momentum going. U know why Bone fell off? Cuz Bizzy wasn’t happy with his money, he was real young too and instead of keeping the momentum rolling, they started complaining and trying to do their own thing independently. And without that machine behind them their music started to suck. They needed that visionary like a Dr Dre or Eazy E. Hell some people would work for free if they know Dre is producing their album. Make sacrifices early it’ll benefit in the long run Even Bone knew their contracts with ruthless were shit. They saw all those Dre day videos and ice cube disses, but they were starving and doing anything to get in the game
@@Aj-me8mo Cube knew his deal was bad from the jump before he sign anything. These guys like kurupt, Snoop and others didnt know what they were getting into (if were going off their narrative) that's the difference.
Hell no Dre only did 2 beats, everyone knows how lazy Dre is the dude drops an album every 5 years, and he was stealing music from other producers, Dre changed nothing
@Kerry to say "Dre changed nothing" is cap bro. Production was horrible after Dre left bro. I remember the DoggFather album by Snoop. That shit was terrible. I bought it bootleg and I still wanted a refund.
It’s Called “SHOW- BUSINESS” , most artists only know the Show Part and that’s all the Wolf’s and thieves of the industry want you to know unfortunately so it’s up to you to learn the Business, “All Of It” ! 💯🤷🏾♂️👁⏳🤑
He had never interviewed this type of authentic aggression that’s not the new rap cap. Them boys were were literally living and dying about disrespect and you couldn’t hide behind no keyboard.
Everything Kurupt said is right! Everyone is talking from a perspective looking from a distance in time. Like looking at a boxing match and saying I would have just ducked and knocked em out.
If they all “stopped” or “started their own thing” we would have NEVER had that great run of 90’s gangsta deathrow records. Album after album!.!.!. Just like he said.. we were riding the train
The title of this should be "Kurupt owns interviewer" and humbles him to wakedafucup 😂 "you weren't around so it's easy to say what you would of done cuz stop it now" Kurupt the illest
He's already humble. What Kurupt are you listening to? He's very much humble! He could be on some true arrogant shit, but always speaks from a point growth and maturity, in hindsight. That's honorable. Peace and love to Kurupt!
@@mosthighchosen614 He’s right to a certain point regarding being a youth , but you don’t remember he’s leaving out that his partner “Daz” stayed at death row. On top of kids still getting bad deals today . RBX was just on here saying he ain’t accept none of material things since the Chronic album, so he had someone right in the crew to school him. I just wasn’t feeling his answers.
He got millions of dollars paid for his lawyer's to keep him out of jail for murder what are you people talking about. He would be in lockdown right now think about that😮
@@robert5235 paying for lawyers which suge probably paid is not the same as having money to spend on cars, jewelry and whatever else you like. Suge got rich at death row everybody else just had the images that suge provided.
@@yeethersSuge paid for his lawyers which came outta Snoop royalties. If Suge was giving them monthly/weekly advances + money whenever they asked and cars, houses , jewelry before they even recouped how can you say he cheated them?
All the money they was making was not theirs. It was the labels money. This is how I know a real fan of Rap versus those who don't know. On the Death Row Chronicles Kurupt was in a interview finally admitting that His money was really the labels and that he was going against what was actually happening at Death Row until..... cars starting to get seized, Jewelry being taking away from dealers and etc. .. So yes Kurupt is definitely flip flopping because I seen his interview for the Death Row Chronicles on BET and he was definitely saying something completely different. #Respect & #GoodDay
Totally agree with Kurupt here. Perspective is everything. That’s how things were done at that time in that era. It’s easy to say things would be different based on how business is done now but back then if you were in it you were in it….It’s different when you’re on the outside looking in as opposed to actually being in it in real time
Kurupt is 100% right on this. When your young and from the streets, your navie and dont know shit most of the time. Wisdom comes fr age and experiences.
Wisdom can also come from learning from the people who came before you. There were so many books and biographies written about artists who made mistakes and were taken advantage of before him, that he could've learned from
Kurupt speaking facts. Artists werent thinking about the business at all like that. Perhaps only few were but even their thoughts were limited and skewed.
