Loving this. That part where he talked about Dr. Dre and Snoop showing him how to utilize melodies is dope. Death Row's chemistry on the label's first few albums was GOAT level. That's why those albums still sound harder than anything out right now.
He's talking about Stranded On Death Row, I only discovered that track recently. Absolute classic. Every verse is insane. My personal fave is Snoop's, but they're all stone cold. To me that track and Deep Cover actually sound more early 90's, NWA style, compared to the G-Funk sound of The Chronic.
