brass balls out !!! The Kx250 is life for sure great job. ...im definitely implementing that 48 jet on my latest 97 full restore running 13-48 on my sprockets port/polished my brother clocked me at 93mph not bad at all thanxs for the rock solid vid!!!!
Bro this was an awesome old video! Cool terrain! I'm here listening to your bike run. I am a complete novice when it comes to 2 stroke engines. I rode and abused a 1979 YZ250 without knowing anything about it other than how to mix the gas (probably even did that wrong) back in 1989 and 90, but haven't ridden since then until I recently bought a 2000 KX250. I bought it from a guy and didn't get a lot of info other than it was 4 hours since the top and bottom were both rebuilt. I asked about jetting and he said he didn't know but that it ran good in Denver. I live at 8500 feet and ride up to 11K feet here. I honestly don't even know how the bike SHOULD run lol. For the last 8 years I have ridden street bikes. When I give it throttle, it has no hesitation, and really screams, but say I am in fourth gear cruising half throttle, it seems like it isn't smooth. After listening to your bike run, maybe I am wrong. Could just be how two strokes are....kind of choppy until you give it gas and then it screams. If you get a chance, even though my videos are shitty, please listen for a few seconds and tell me if you think it sounds like its running right or maybe needs to be rejetted? What would symptoms of incorrect jetting be? Running 32:1, I see some black oil out of the silencer but not excessive. Any help appreciated. @@trxmh mine scares the hell out of me it’s anything but slow but as I’m sure you have read the internet says it has low power for some reason I’ve never had one stock so maybe that’s it.
@@texasdirtbikerider3335 Mine doesn't pull the wheel up like my old YZ250 did, but it sure does make the back wheel break loose at any speed LOL. It has power for sure.
braap...braap...braap....the gearing and powerband on these things make them terrible trail bikes...you are on and off the throttle constantly because it's either 100% or nothing with these models...you can hardly get into the throttle before you immediately let off
