Chicago has 2 first round picks next year y is everyone saying buy players to make the playoffs your in a full rebuild Davidson is looking at next years draft , some great looking prospects next year.

Thought of recent… I saw Teuvo Teravainan is a free agent. Not crazy expensive and a solid two way guy. Ik he’s not a top end scorer like some of these other guys, but maybe a more realistic pick up?

you take the best player, Demidov. You can pick a D at 20 or trade up. Levshunov is not the best D in the draft. Demidov has elite tools, you don't pass that up.

Preach it. 😀 I am with you on this one, bro'. Plus, Demidov has only a 1-yr commitment to the KHL/MHL and he has refused to resign for longer than that. He will be in the NHL for the 2025-2026 season. Player winger alongside Connor Bedard we will finally have something resembling a top line.

It’s time to start taking step forward… last draft we got lucky and were able to get a generational player… this draft we will get a player who will help out right away… and we have an absurd amount of high level prospects who will be coming up this year and next year. It’s time to bring in good free agents. We are set up nice. Time to start winning

2nd pick is likely a year or two away from helping. And I'd much rather stay patient and not splurge in FA. They need to be responsible. But we're one year closer. Won't be too long

Bedard as a hockey player will be fine. The comparison of supporting a quarterback is not a very good one because Bedard is going to be special regardless. The better way to approach it is, how will the GM make the overall team better and deeper?

They were never going to be competitive within his 3 yr entry level contract. Davidson’s goal has always been to build a team with sustained success rather than 1 high peak. He would rather have a dynasty with Bedard making $15m a year rather than only 1 cup run with him on his ELC. Stay patient and you will be rewarded

This wasn't the draft not to get #1. It's a huge dropoff after #1. We used our luck to get a 5'8 one dimensional winger, when the 6'0 two way center that won the Hobey Baker was the real prize the following season. We're pretty much f'd unless Nazar or Moore really hit a massive stride in their development. I think we have some nice pieces on the backend but we're missing that foundational piece down the middle. Cups are won down the middle, we know that firsthand from Toews, Kopitar, Crosby ETC

@@BattlefrontNow Yes this is. Massive drop off. There is no consensus after 1. Some people have Levshunov some have Demidov some even have Buium or Lindstrom. It's all a big drop off and pick 2 to pick 8ish is all pretty much interchangeable. This hurts badly. The Sharks made out like bandits here. Will Smith is better than any of the prospects we can get at 2 and Celebrini is a future elite center compared to Crosby and Toews. Us and Anaheim lost big time.

Quit crying and realize the Blackhawks and Kyle Davidson know what they’re doing. We’re going to be contending in a few years and while celebrini will for sure be a great player, we will have many of our own

@@johnamico588 Bedard is generational talent, but I compare him to Kaner. 100+ point amazing winger. Around 5'10 and not impactful defensively. He's like Panarin and Gaudreau. The spine of our championships came from Toews (6'0 C) and Keith Seabrook Crawford and our depth. I just worry that Celebrini fits that mold more than anything we already had. Bedard will put up 120 points a year, but Celebrini 6'0 2 way elite C will win you cups.

Nah man, you want that money when your young future core starts signing new contracts. The fact he got Vlasic for 6 years at 4.6 is a huge win. It sucks cause we’ve been spoiled in Chicago with the Toews and Kane era, but it just doesn’t happen over night.

@@tomslick2058what????Vlasic, Korchinski, Del Mastro, Allen, Phillips, Kaiser, Harding our LHD’s are set we just need a few more RHD since all we have is really Rinzel
