It's criminal how underappreciated this man is even in Toronto. He will be sorely missed whenever he is no longer here.

This is the stuff casuals and Lowry "haters" will never understand. He does so much for the Raptors without scoring. In the finals, there were games where he scored less than 10pts and was something ridiculous like +19. Casuals will always compare him to someone like Irving or Westbrook who put up "paper-nice" stats like points on low efficiency, but they are nowhere near as effective as Lowry on the defensive end. A 4 can post up any point guard with ease, but not with Lowry. In fact, he *looks* for when they do that because he's confident enough in his ability to win that. What other players, nonetheless point guard, takes the number of charges he does? He even takes charges from the largest players like Embiid, Jokic, and Cousins regularly. Everyone is always throwing around the "underrated" tag, but in my opinion, he legitimately is the single most underrated player in the league. His defensive accomplishments and the total effect he has on the floor never go noticed by media or fans. The players on other teams know though, and always sing his praises. I hope the casuals got to see this in full effect in the finals.

How this guy has never made a NBA All-Defensive Team in his career astounds me.

Ilyasova and him are the two of the best at drawing charges right now. I hate watching Ilyasova taking charges because he always looks like flopping unlike Lowry. Lowry's charges are also impressive because he's just 6'0 getting bumped by 7'0 centers. lol
