Vince is a very passionate guy, you can tell it hurts him when people don't acknowledge what he's done in Toronto. They had to really edit that segment.
Totally enjoyed Klow7 chat..so real and chill. Love all the topics. Vince and Kyle you are both so deeply loved and appreciated in Toronto and Canada. Thank u for loving our city, country and fans right back.
SO. to Kyle for making these awesome looking bags! Those bags were dope! I don't play that much golf anymore, but grew up with golf as my late dad, Roy Howett, made a career out of coaching. He inspired me to play even though basketball was my main sport. But since he worked most of the day, the golf cource and club house became 2nd home to me. His love for golf, dedication and talents earned him the 1995 PGA. 5 Star Professional Award (meaning golf trainer of the year in Europe). Some of the great Danish golf players who ended up turning pro were taught the game by him, which makes me very proud. Around 2000 he started to develop early oncet of alzheimers disease. The disease ended his coaching career too early, but in the face of adversity, he showed his true character and his core personality remained intact. He was literally the best person I've ever known. The most bright, positive, unselfish and calm. Even if the golfball had ended up in between all sorts of obstancles, he'd just say "This will become an interesting shot". He was brought up under tough conditions in a poor suburb after the 2nd WW and had learned to appeaciate what he had, not focusing on what he didn't have. How taught me the importance of where your focus will go, your energy will also flow, having an attitude of greatitude and like preached what Tony Robbins have said before -"The secret to a great living is giving". Ironically as a kid growing up I was magnetically drawn to role models with those values, and I saw that vibe in Vince as he became my 2nd role model and hero. All these years later, it makes me smile all over my face listening to Vince talking passionately about golf. That sport really seem to attract people with positive spirits.
This was awesome, i got a little emotional not gonna lie. Day 1 Raptors fan, and i think im looking at the first 2 raptors going into the hall of fame. I hope VC has toronto on his plaque. Loved him, hated him, love him more now, putting Toronto basketball on the map, and Kyle for bringing the culture, the chip, the fight that the team still has, your fingerprints are still all over that team. Peace from north
You can see how VC truly loves Canada and the Raptors organization. I would have seriously loved it if kyle actually got VC back to the raptors, even if it was just to retire as a raptor 🥰😍
Broussard said that Toronto couldnt keep super stars like VC....but VC resigned. The only reason he left was the management was so trash that he didnt feel he could get anywhere. If he was playing under Masai he wouldve retired a Raptor.
Would have been awesome to have VC play his last year in TO. Unfortunately, didn't happen. But TONS of memories will live on forever. And as for Kyle...well, he's the undisputed GROAT (Greatest Raptor of All-Time) - the bulldog of North Philly, to our City. Legend.
I lovely Kylo, GROAT… but he just admitted that he tried to get a trade for Vince… is that not tampering? (Or at least back in the day…) correct me if wrong
A lot of these time stamps are off, like the Curry gulf bag discussion shoulda started at least 30 or more seconds earlier for example. Great interview though.
Kyle is the Greatest Raptor.... VC put us on the map, but I can't forget how he left us... too ugly... Demar also one of the Best Raptors... will never forget Demar!
Hall of Fame basketball 🏀 players devoting a hour of a podcast to golf ⛳ 🤔? 🤨😐😑😒😤 I dont think 🤔 so bros , but because it's you guys, well accept 🙄. I did love this Vince Carter-we play together. Kyle Lowry-we friends I felt a lot of love 💕 in my heart ❤️ when Kyle said that, Vince better know what it is. P.S. "Don't forget about this guy, it made not have had a fairy tale ending" Kyle don't forget about Hakeem's time with the raptors, he once invested blood, sweat and tears with the raptors organization bit it also did not have a fairy tale ending.
Oh you slow slow..... not the bubble... the following year raptors relocated to Tampa for the season and had 0 home games.. even when they played back in Tampa it was fans of the other team... nobody crying about it but don't act like home court ain't advantage or playoff seeding wouldn't matter
The dude who basically sulked his way out of Toronto and quit on the franchise, setting them back years, is out here telling guys they need to “Make the Best of it” and “Be a team Player”?! Bro. At least acknowledge what you did and not act like you were some saint. You weren’t.
Had nothing to do with the fans, or the country. People disagree on business matters all the time. Kids still play on all the Basketball courts he build with his own money in Toronto. He gave back to the city and was a great Ambassador for us.
I remember when Carter said to the Toronto fans he doesn't want to dunk no more because he wants to be traded... you sold Toronto out stop your nonsense.. you're a great dunker brother but that's it...
