Yes, this dude is definitely off the chains, and shreds like no other. If you are making fun of his playing, you are either too old or very narrow minded. The passion that this man, and the rest of his band puts into their playing definitely shows.
@@crawlingamongthestars3736 Atonality and dissonance are one thing, but being sloppy as fuck just to look like you're playing fast is another. Everything from his tone to the way his riffs are structured are pure muddy shit and I along with a MAJORITY of the world, like MUSIC even with my death metal. They sound terrible live also, so I truly do not get the hype behind them other than feeling as a fan that you have found "Your Own" thing.....Sorry but these guys are GREAT players, but they sound like pure shit doing so.
AnarchY Ash Aubrey I disagree with almost everything you said, so I'll just pretty much leave it at that, though yes, live their tone could be better, but that can be said about SO many extreme bands. I've seen Vitriol live twice, and lots of others, so I have an idea about what typical live sound is at a death/black metal concert.
@@AnarchYAshAubrey to call this muddy and pure shit is odd... the tone isnt bad, and live they sound great... there is alot of stuff going on in his playing that is purposeful. He trashes up certain riffs on purpose because they are meant to be... but when he needs it tight its tight. He is only doing the exact same thing hendrix and srv did. The difference here is the atonality and speed... its not something you care for and thats ok. But to not recognize that he plays loose at times on purpose and say its shit just because you dont care for the style is irresponsible. This guy approaches death metal songs with techniques often found in early second wave black metal, and as i said before srv and hendrix. Kyle embodies what extreme metal is all about. Its not SUPPOSED to have mass appeal. Its damn near anti-music. Chaotic, atonal, dissonant, blistering fast, and razor sharp when its called for. And to say you like a little music in your death metal is a disgrace to the genre, actually. Extreme metal, even at its mosr dissonant and atonal, IS music. Its just not music for mass consumption. And no offense to any player out there but i would take 100 kyles live to any musician that sists there perfectly still trying to play every note perfectly with no emotion or feeling. Rings of saturn and the like damn near killed extreme metal by sucking the humanity and life right out of the genre. Performances dont have to be perfect, but they do have to be good and entertaining and the music does habe to be well written, and thats wht theres so much hype behind vitriol. Because they are bringing extreme metal exactly what its been missing for almost a decade.
Lol. I honestly cant tell if hes good or not. Even on their albums you can barely hear him. The facial expressions are only cool if hes high on meth or crack. Otherwise they're lame.
people keep saying his playing isn’t clean but they have no idea what they’re talking about. It’s rough and aggressive and makes perfect sense for the style of music and who he is as a player and as a person, but his noting is definitely clear.
Kyle is my favorite player right now hands down. I had the pleasure of meeting him in Baltimore,and he graciously signed my guitar for me. Kyle was the most kind and accommodating to a fan of anyone I’ve gotten to meet in music . If you’re reading this Kyle, you really made my night , thank you

Besides the incredible talent from Kyle, what I love most about that clip is the fact that a seasoned musical genius like Jocke Skog can´t get the grin off his face when watching him ... speaks for both of them without a word.
I fucking truly appreciate the passion this band puts into their music. You can tell by the way he masters (plays) his guitar that their is passion in every strum. *caveat, I’m not a guitarist so I hope I didn’t butcher any technical terms.
How are these people just having a casual conversation in the background while this level of intensity is exploding behind them? And how can they even hear themselves talking?
I'm sure he gets so used to playing and doing vocals that it just sticks with him and almost acts as a cue for his playing. I know I, and many others, make involuntary faces when playing.
It becomes natural after composing, rehursing, jamming, performing, and recording it. I'm sure it'd be difficult, not to mouth the words as he's plays. It's muscle memory at this point.
Kyle is the most amazing and crappiest guitar all at the same time. I am amazed at the riffs he can write and play at that insane speed yet he completely sucks with his solos but at the same time they sound awesome and totally fit the music.
He goes for pure expression over technique. It's sloppy but it sounds like someone pressing their fingertips so hard into the frets they could cut skin.
