Two white women determining that a racist comment said by a white woman against a woman of colour doesn't make the white woman racist... See how that's a bit of a problem? I couldn't make an anti-semitic comment against a Jewish person and then myself as a non-Jewish person claim not to be anti-semitic. It's ridiculous.
I like how people say "Black women" this and "Black women" that. Like damn stop generalizing. I'm black, and my weaves are human hair, good quality weaves, so I get into pools with them. Also, when a white girl gets a tan, and does not go into the pool because it will run off, no one makes a big deal over that. SMH.
Why, thank you, you two white women, for absolving Brandy of being a racist. Thank you for clearing that up for Joyce and any other person of color who might have been offended. Really.
Calling Joyce out of her name like Jacqueline like she's her mother and has the right to rename her was what I found outrageous, Brandi needs to stop drinking and start acting like a "real" woman!
she will never be history because of skinny girl stuff and because she own half the kentucky derby and jim bean alky company she will always have a voice in history.
I'm just laughing bc after Bethenny starts off w/Brandi's controversial comment about Black ppl not wanting to swim, the camera cuts to to a Black woman @0:31 in the audience saying to the woman next to her, "I wouldn't." LOLOLOLOL
Bethenny sounds equally 'insensitive' with 'white girl taking her weave out' ...&... 'dinner party in Beverly Hills' pulling weave out are both bad examples & telling on Bethenny, period. SMH
Lisa and Yolanda telling Joyce that she should put up with Brandis racist comments cause Brandi apparently has a good heart is so fucking colonial. Like dude the only POC has to put up with the white girls tantrum? Telling Joyce what she should be called and how her name should be something more “Latin” and not Joyce cause it sounds white and to them only white girls should have the privilege of being called Joyce? telling her she can’t swim cause she’s black? Wtf? News flash brandy saying “I’m not racist cause I’ve had a black bf” is the same shit slave owners told themselves after they slept with slaves.
I remember that scene with Brandi and -Jacqueline- Joyce very well, and yes it was cringy as F. But for whatever reason, poor Joyce was indeed bullied (albeit, an overused word) for the entire season. I never understood it.
To be honest, it sounds to me like Brandi was repeating a joke she'd heard her black friends say. I have black friends who often make jokes about themselves. Things such as, "Black don't crack" when complimented on their great skin. They have also said things like, "My weave!!!!" when it starts raining heavily and we're outside. In friendship groups, its fine to say things like that when your intentions are understood. Brandi made a clumsy joke amongst a bunch of women who clearly weren't 'in' on her 'in jokes' with other friends. I don't think there was anything offensive meant; it's the sort of joke I've heard black women make several times. But I suppose if you want to make an issue out of it you easily could.
@@fantastischfish So? What does that have to do with anything? I obviously didn't see it until now. If I saw it 5 years ago I would have commented 5 years ago
@@Jonathan-pp3du Because I’m not going to get into a discussion about something I wrote 5 years ago, on a video I watched 5 years ago, about something that happened even more years ago, and can’t even remember the context. Go and find something better to do.
I'm a black girl, and I swim with my weave in hehehe ....it's actually easier to manage than swimming with my natural hair...coz it gets so tangled esp after chlorine dries it out ://
Just because you didn't think it was racist, your opinion does not represent the opinions of all black people. Just cuz your black it doesn't mean you get to decide if it's racist or not for everyone.
