I remember this well, I was watching it in a pub in Knightsbridge at the time it was shown on TV, which isn't far from Earls Court where it was filmed. As soon as I heard the Blue Monday beat, I was like "Yessssssss!". At each moment the camera focused on her "derriere", everyone in the pub stood up and cheered! 🤣 Amazing performance!

Thanks for this Empress! Kylie for sure has changed her vocal style through the years. She tends to sing more breathy now and less full-bodied or even soulful. I think it’s a stylistic choice and also to sustain her vocals during concerts. I wouldn’t be surprised if she had vocal lessons to improve her overall singing and for longevity during performances

She mainting that record until Madonna battled that with ''Hung Up'' (who it's was n.1 for 45 countrys in 2005-2006). Also, this was the return of Kylie in US after she dissepear for 13 years after the second album (who this last didn't charts and was a total flop, who she didn,t released any material in US until the ''Fever'' album). ''Light Years'' re-released her career worldwide but the next album, ''Fever'' was labeled has her best-selling album and was everywhere in 2001 and 2002. Because of her success worldwide, she released this song in US in 2002 with a massive success, peaking at n.7 (her first top 10 since ''Locomotion'') and was everywhere in radios and MTV. Kylie only have seven singles in US charts, ''Can't Get You Out of My Head'' was one of them but in US like worldwide, this song was her signature song.

I remember seeing Kylie in concert for the first time on the ‘On A Night Like This’ tour in 2001 and she performed ‘Can’t Get You Outta My Head’ for the first time (sounded super different) but I was HOOKED!! I remember having to wait like 6-8mths for it to be released in the stores and played it on loop for days!! This performance was iconic and the year everyone was obsessed with the “Kylie bum” (hence the close up shots in this performance). So much so that her wax works figure at Madame Tussaud’s in London had to keep getting maintenance on her rear! They ended up nailing her dress to her bum to stop perv’s lifting it up 😂 LOVE this song so much ❤

I remember seeing this live at the brit awards at home sick. They dont show it but I remember some guy introduced her and said just scream and yell because you are in for a treat tonight. I remember thinking who is this than she popped up and I had to know everything about her from then on. This performance blow me away that much. Couldn't believe this was the same girl that played Cammy in Street Fighter. I grow up loving that mess of a movie.
