this is class 114 the same class that went to the 2018 rose parade in california. they are really good. KT is really really good, no one compares. i became a KT fan because of this class
The KTSHS Band are World Class artists, and to think, all these are high school students, that's what's amazing about the history and tradition of this band going forward into the future, all members, past, present and future should be so proud of such a legacy....i hope the KTSHS band are invited to play all around the world, thank u uploading all their videos, I even enjoyed the practice session for this event...thank you...
Just me watching the girls again love the Band they sure are a beautiful beautiful sound comes out love the music I can listen to you all day thanks for sharing and as always I love you guys take care
There is something so enchanting about these young Japanese students, their mastery of their individual instrument coupled with their amazing choreography all largely to the music of America’s Glen Miller straight from the 1940’s Jazz age is toe-taperingly beautiful. I can’t help but wonder what these amazing student from 2017 are doing now in 2023. I know that Tachibana Senior High School Band continues to carry the tradition on into the future, bless them all for their amazing gift of music ❤
As well as praising this band I have one small bit of information. If you adjust the settings and select English subtitles you will find they are miles better than the normal Auto Confusion - except using the word "violent" when I am pretty sure they mean "energetic", - a mere detail. The female announcer gives some background information, including they will be repeating their visit to the Rose Parade in 2012 with a visit in 2018, other bits, and these are only the 2nd and 3rd years today. The music coach introduces himself as the KT band, not as an individual, and points out there was a time when they recruited heavily in Nara, a 20 minute train raid from the school, and would like to that again. He does warn the audience things are going to get a little more energetic. I have often wondered what he blathered about, now I know, and I would say he does it well. Judge for yourselves.
Excelente interpretación de los temas musicales!!!🤗🤗🤗 Y no podía faltar el Mtro. Dámaso Pérez Prado( el cara de foca) Con " Mambo que rico Mambo" Felicidades! 😁😁🌴🌴🌴🎉🎉🎉
Have found this band by accident while searching for something else, and they are amazing, cannot stop watching, so did a little research. 1. This is three schools all together, Junior High, High School, and University. 2. It started as a type of women's craft school, went co-ed several years ago. 3. Though they have matching shorts for all the male students uniforms, they prefer they wear long pants. 4. New band members are selected and mentored by current students starting in their junior year from the junior school. 5. The sophomores, juniors, and seniors, do performances, freshman are still in training. 6. The D-M is chosen from her section of the band and then all are voted for by the entire band, the process is more democratic than our system is. 7. Future D-Ms are also chosen when the current D-M graduates and the others move up in rank. 8. The D-M position is not just for show. She/He helps mentors current students, scolds and praises students, helps to select the songs to be performed during Her/His tenure, helps with dance routines, instructs students where to stand for performances, helps with the tuning of the instruments prior to performances. 9. She/He will put in more hours per week than the regular band member do. 10. When called upon the D-M will step down and play Her/His instrument during a performance. 11. The D-M has been known to stop long local parades long enough for each member to obtain a drink of water. The D-M has been seen getting water and taking to band members at various times. Always remember, if you are a High School Band getting ready for a competition, and you hear HI!HII!HI!HI!HIIII!!!! echoing across the parking lot, you are screwed!
@Alvin Busby , There are some corections. 1. There are no junior high school students in this Band. Participation of university students is limited to the "Rose Parade". 4. Junior high school students at this school cannot join the Band once they go on to high school. Because, this private junior high school aims to go on to a famous university. This junior high school to high school class is not allowed to spend a lot of time practicing the Band. This is a school policy. Previously, DM was selected from high school freshmen around autumn.
@@marschtanz63 Perhaps the information that I received was incorrect. But according to one of the schools websites - do not know if it is official or not - that there are three schools there. Junior High, Senior High, and University. Supposedly that there are three D-M's - a Senior Year - a Junior Year - a Sophomore Year D-M. In some prior videos, I saw Miss Nagao, the D-M for the 2018 Rose Bowl Parade, playing her clarinet in some 2017 performances, prior to her taking over conducting. In sit down performances, the Senior D-M is easy to spot, due to the sash she wears.
@Alvin Busby, That's right, there are three schools. The junior high school and high school are in the same building, but the university is in a different location. High school graduates may enroll in another university. Also, graduates of other high schools often enter the university here. Junior high, senior high and university each have a Band, but they don't practice together. Three DM's - a Senior Year, a Sophomore Year and a Junior Year. The booklet of the Regular concerts up to 2017 introduced three DMs, but after 2018, only two DMs(Senior year & Sophomore year) are listed. I don't know why.
The students are only at Tachibana Senior High School for three years. The new band members start their training in the school holidays two weeks before they enter the school. The new band members then perform in public for the first time at the Brass Expo event in May, just a month after starting at the school.
I find too funny how it appears that Tippi wants to break those drums. She is beating the stuffing out of those drums. They will all be missed. I wish them the very best and thank you for your hard work and sharing your skills with the world.
@@raypowell6783 Wow Ray, that's exactly what I saw too. She's much prettier though, lol. There's another one that leads me that way too, but I think they'll fantastic. Tippi is the one-like so many others, I noticed first. I actually watched them so often, I recognize so many even when the camera at a distance. I have make-shift names for them though.
Her band nickname is 'Chippi' and, during the rehearsal for this show, she broke one of her drumsticks! See it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UpvMHVITI8s.html You can see one of the others fetches her a new stick and several of the percussion team gather round to look afterwards.
Ahh just wonderful. Up until a week ago i didnt know much about the band until they popped up on my RU-vid feed i cant stop watching now lol Shout out to all the girls and boys just awesome and i know you should not single people out but the girls on the stage were just rocking and having a blast and good to see Hitomi who has probably left the band by now!! Great video, you did a great job getting the whole band in near and far.👏👍
wonderful performance from a happy looking group of boys and girls great talent.the girl with the artificial leg is to be admired for her courage and i hope she goes on to a bright future.good luck to all.
She graduated. She appears on a video where she is with the local fire department band. I have read that there is an alumni (alumnae?) band. Remember that Tachiban is also a University so I guess students can go on to school there. Tachiban schools go from first grade to university and are private so students pay tuition.
I love it when they play "In the Mood". They do it better than Glenn Miller's band did, but his band didn't have the legs for it, LOL. They play so well and they really put on a show. I hope this year's band will keep up the tradition of always being the best entertainment.
Manbo que rico es jajaja que buen tema son sorprendentes la mejor banda de vientos del mundo felicidades no me canso de ver sus videos son espectaculares
@@Guard-Reg Hello, yes I did. She usually starts out these performances on stage right. Then usually finishes on stage left. It's always nice to recognize someone in the band. " Hey! " See if you can find her and her friend Milpy in the Kyoto Fire Department Fire Angels Color Guard: RU-vid video: 京都市消防音楽隊・カラーガード隊 京都府消防操法大会2018 【4K】
He estado escuchando a muchas bandas y todas adolecen de mayores o menores defectos PIENSO QUE ESTA ES LA MEJOR
I found that if you click on CC and in Settings click on subtitles ,click on whatever language you may listen to , you can see what they are saying. Mine is English. Tanaka is long winded in his speeches , so I wanted to know what he was talking about. Funny.
jrcigarful, I don't know. Do you know the following website? kyototachibanashsbandunofficialfanblog.wordpress.com/background-information-band/ You may find something clues.
