I live in Canada and couldn’t agree with you more Josh !! WE PAY FOR IT !!! I’m 23 years old and have been saving since I was 16 and had my first job, I cannot even afford the down payment on a HOUSE. My parents got houses for $200,000 when they moved out at 19, I am struggling to even find somthing where the DOWNPAYMENT ISNT above $200,000. what they could buy a house with I can’t even afford a downpayment with.

As a Canadian from Vancouver (one of the worst housing crisis in Canada also one of them most expensive places to live in the world atm) who now lives in America. No, no you don’t. Some areas of America can be a bit comparable, but Canada on a whole is facing this issue, America has entire states like West Virginia and Mississippi that are in desperate need of people and tones of housing.

@loracorwyn3713 West Virginia is a hot mess, though. I was born and raised there, moved away about 7 years ago, and it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing keeping that state even remotely afloat is the mining industry and people who are too stubborn or old to move away. 😂 plus the housing prices there are insane now I used to own a single wide trailer there and lot rent when I sold it and left in 2017 was 160 a month now the exact same trailer park is 500+ a month. Edited to add that I'm not arguing Canada isn't worse or anything cause I don't have any experience there. I'm just saying West Virginia has gotten kinda crazy as well, which surprised me when I went back to visit because it used to be VERY affordable to live/visit there.

Love what you do Josh, I to protect all children that need a voice, mostly divorce, custody, child support, ppo’s, mediation.. I do all paperwork and coach the person needing to file on how to file and how to present their case to the courts , for 35 years now!! I end up on the Dr Phil show for a 5 year old that was kidnapped, I brought home to mom in Vegas. I watch every video and I love that you protect children. I also only had 2 children and I am raising number 13…

Thanku Josh, universal health care is not all it's cracked up to be. THREE YEARS I've been waiting for a knee replacement and expected to wait a further 2 years. I can't afford to pay half my wages in taxes and afford private health care on top. The amount of painkillers I have to consume daily just to be able walk has undoubtedly got me an addiction as well as I literally cannot bear any weight on my knee without copious amounts of extremely powerful pain killers inside me. I'm pissed.

My husband swam competitively from age 6 through college. He swam out of a rip after almost dying when he was 12 and has been stung by jellyfish - still has no problem with swimming in the ocean. What he IS scared of is Tsunamis. 🌊

Medical care is a joke in the US, too. Can’t find dr’s that accept your insurance or if they do they are booked out a year! A FREAKING YEAR! I’m struggling to get my 15 year old an appointment with a physical therapist & a dental cleaning. She has to have a cleaning before they will put her braces on. It’s all just backing up! I’ve also been going back & forth with the social security office about applying for death benefits for my daughter. Her dad passed almost 2 years ago !! I’m convinced they are just delaying it until she turns 18 or gets closer to 18 so they have to pay less out. They no longer pay benefits past 17 regardless if they go to college. It’s all a joke!! Sorry to rant but Josh’s rant triggered me 😂.

So while obviously $1000 seems like a lot per month, the average Canadian paying 65% (which is much closer to the actual amount then 50% he quoted) compared to the 2600 that Canadians pay in taxes doesn’t seem like quite so bad.

In the USA right now it can take 6 or more months to see a specialist.

Not necessarily, my mom just saw 2 different specialists after seeing her general practitioner. Her appointments were scheduled a week after her GP appointment

It really depends what state you live in Melissa. I can get into a Specialist anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months in Colorado. It actually takes me longer to get into a "primary care/family doc" than specialists. Fortunately I don't need a referral to get into most of them...
