That first clip against curry and Durant is always insane. The way does the half spin, stops, hesitates, and keeps going in that same direction is crazy
@@paulgastelum2143 normally a person doing the half spin pauses to spin back the other way, but kyrie pauses like he's going to go back, but he goes forward instead.
People don’t understand how hard it is to actually cross professionals over in a live action competitive game, at the park with friends is absolutely no comparison…what we call “handles” aren’t often even considered to be necessary at the pro level because of the sheer pace and flow of the game doesn’t really allow much room for it against certain defensive schemes but this guy somehow shreds through with it
Perfectly said because I be thinking like how is he doing this in the nba ? I mean you see it sometimes here and there but with him it’s just ridiculous kyrie handles are way more complex than iverson
There are streetballers who I thought had better handles but if you think about it they are playing against scrubs. Kylie has equal handles feats against the greatest players on the planet and he consistently uses that skill to score buckets and make plays , that’s why he has the greatest handles of all time
Your ignorance is showing. Athleticism is athleticism. Whether it’s on the street or in the NBA. Y’all seem to forget that the players WERE that guy on the street, Lonnie Walker played on the same court I did, but not everyone is fortunate enough to have a family that can send them to university, and some athletes simply don’t have the grades or good enough attendance to qualify for a scholarship. I myself was offered several scholarships when I was a junior in HS, including one to Penn State (for football not basketball) which is only a 3 hour drive from where I grew up, except senior year I got in trouble for selling weed and things spiraled from there, and before I knew it I was going to a different university, and not even for sports. I’m sure if it happened to me, it happened to other people. There’s tens of thousands of guys with the same athleticism you see in the NBA, that simply didn’t take the right path to get there is my point.
@@alexcerv I mean, to me, he has the best handles. However, I'm sure many others will agree that he isn't the best handler in the game throughout history, which is why I put the "?".
These moves are so amazing. I can see why he doesn't put much effort in defense because all of those moves takes so much energy. They are a beauty to watch tho.
Are you insane? He is one of the only players who've ever completely locked up Steph Curry. Don't forget the championship finals. I will admit not every game he's going to be locking up players like that though.
A lot of people say Allen iverson I feel iverson was like the base form for the crazy handles but kyrie is a bit more complex and strategic iverson just felt a little more smooth
@@factsrus3462 Kyrie to me has the best pure handle of all time. I'm only 38, so I haven't seen everyone, but, the best handles I've witnessed are Kyrie, AI, Steph, Tim hardaway and Isiah Thomas, and Kyrie is the best. I'm a Sixers fan, and watched all of AI, but Kyrie is better...just more in the bag than AI had...AI was pretty much just in and outs and crossovers (both of which were amazing), but Kyrie has both of those things plus the counter to the counter to the counter. Just truly special.
@@elliemyers6435yeah his counter ability is insane I’ve never seen anything like that, not even on and 1 mixtapes. I’m 34 I’ve seen a fair share but you know everyone gonna glaze iverson lol. If AI is base goku then kyrie is like super saiyan 2 goku .
that's why his knees has taken its toll, the sudden stop, the hessy's, the change of direction, hope he gets healthy althroughout his career, coz NBA is not as exciting without kyrie.
Curry is the overall better player but I've always said Kyrie has the greatest handles ever. He won Lebron his Cleveland championship and got no credit really
Watching kyrie is like watching the greatest ball handlers of all time in one package. He's got moves from AI, Kobe, CP3, JCross, Rondo, DWill, White Chocolate, God Shamgod and so many others
The conversation should really be focused on the man's footwork! The sheer agility and coordination in your feet that is required to pull off those moves is beyond comprehension, really! If anything, his handles are amazing BECAUSE they can actually keep up with his supreme footwork!
Its his ball recovery for me. People point out how good his handles are, but nevef how good his ball recovery is. He sometimes lose control of the ball. His ability to recover even when his handles fail is insane. Best ball recovery ever. Someone should put a highlight reel of just how he was able to recover when he lost the ball.
Kyrie has arguably the top ball handlers in the league, i'm steph fan but sometimes he holds the ball too long making his teammates watching and standing in the court. Without making any plays more on iso game. That thing could cause the game. Iso plays is the reason why they got swept by boston. I mean they un guardable 1 on 1 but. Iso games are easier to guard than plays with moving players and ball movement.
