This song really hits close to home. I've been chasing a dream since I was a little kid, and I've given 110% for so long with so very little return. Whenever I do achieve something it doesn't feel like enough, like I've done anything. I already love it. I've always suffered with not feeling like I was good enough. Not for anyone or anything. And even though I've finally got my life working right (or at least looking like it does, stable career, you know that kinda thing), I still just don't feel like I'm doing it right. It still feels like there's something missing that I haven't figured out, like there's always been something missing, like that something missing isn't actually a thing I haven't learned or figured out yet, but rather, some fundamental flaw in the way I'm wired, and I'll never get this life shit right because I'm just missing... something. So I'll never really be good enough because I'm just inherently NOT enough. I dunno. That probably makes no sense. But yeah, I feel like that a lot of the time. Most of the time. Maybe everyone feels that way, I dunno. So mostly I just try to ignore it and do my best cuz that's all I can do. But when I can't ignore that feeling, at least I have music. Thanks for making music like this. Thank you for taking all that ugly shit most of us prefer to hide and showing it to the world so that we can feel less alone. And lastly, I dunno how you feel about what you create, but in my opinion, you're one hell of a musician. In fact, I think you're insanely talented and that the music you make is brilliant. Writing skills like that are so much more then "writing" skills. It takes a high level of humility, honestly, observation, and understanding. You have to self reflect, pick yourself apart from the inside, then use your emotional intelligence and wisdom to express something this extremely authentic and raw. When it's done at the highest level this weird nonlogical thing occurs. The artists unique differences are what makes the art feel relatable and powerful to the listeners. Well I'm a fan now.
