I have 2 LAB putters DF1 and Mezz 1 and about to order the Mezz 1 Max (the Mezz 1 I bought used very cheap off someone who refused to change his putting stroke - was holding it toe up) anyway these putters will not read the green for you, will not correct a bad stroke, will not correct alignment issues or correct the pace of putt, all of those you will need to get right to make putts. It will help you start the putt on the line that you are aligned to. I use DF1 and can honestly say that if i miss a putt now it is because 1. misread the green 2. wasn't aligned to the correct line (see first point) or 3. hit it too soft or hard. The technology works but you still must do everything else right.

Just got a DF 2.1 a couple weeks ago and couldn’t agree more. Because it starts putts on line so reliably (and rolls the ball so true too), I learned almost immediately that my aim wasn’t anywhere near as good as I thought it was. If you pay attention, it can really make you a better putter.

@@evandh1989 Another great tip was raising your thumbs off the grip. This worked so well for me. My thumbs were definitely trying to steer it, and I had no clue.

If you aren't playing with a Lie Angle Balanced putter, you are playing with inferior putting technology. To have ZERO tension in your arms when putting (due to no torque) frees you up for focusing on distance control while the club keeps it square through impact. Try it, you will probably be shocked too. Will never putt with anything else again - the money I've won off friends has more than paid for it.

I bought the Arm-Lock DF 2.1 last fall (used video fitting, to make sure all this money isn't wasted on a 6'6" golfer). As an above average ball striking 60yr old golfer (handicap ranges from 6 - 7), and still playing from the regular or back tees on all golf courses.......I have DESPERATELY wanted to improve my well-below average putting ability (routinely 34-39 putts per round).....poor lag putting, poor 4-6ft make ability, and my buddies ALWAYS make me putt my 2-3 footers because they know my stress, will make them money. For the last 20+ years I have tried basically every grip and putting style (standard/left-hand low/arm lock/broom/left-handed/etc/etc) known to golf, with very/very little consistent success. BOTTOM LINE (if you've read this far)........this Freakin Putter "technology" WORKS, for me!! Trusting that the face of putter will stay square (with my non-perfect stroke), absolutely frees my mind that I ONLY need to concern myself with my Read and Pace. Signed, LAB Cheerleader (who does not work for them, nor was given a free putter, nor was this a paid endorsement)

I’m a believer having used a Mezz Max now for three rounds and drained some beautiful putts. Considering the hundreds of putters I’ve bought and sold Sam’s statement on the fire pit pod cast screamed in my head. I too used a Napa because I figured if I sucked I might as well look cool. 😂 Interesting how the Axis Rose reacted. I was curious about how that putter would be. Was interested in how the Odyssey Backstryke and TM Truss would be in the revealer.

Yeah but they torque in your hands and work against you. You will naturally work back against the torque in your stroke. If you ever have the chance to stroke a lab putter. Do it! You will be surprised how different they feel.

Didn't feel too special but the LAB putter options in stores seem to be terrible. Like 1 or 2 standard options and that's it. No shaft differences, grips, etc. Just 2 different putters the same anywhere I find them.

Have you ever wondered why you can putt great with a putter one day and putt lousy with it another day? Perhaps the answer is that every putter you've ever used requires manipulation of the putter to overcome the torque. Even worse, each putter you have requires a different manipulation to control its torque. We humans are not robots and our feels change from day to day. The putter hasn't changed, we've changed. This also explains why we might pick up a different putter and putt great with it the first time out. Our feels for that day match the required torque compensations needed to keep it square. A toe hang putter will require different compensations than a face-balanced putter, for example. But now LAB Golf has introduced putters with no torque and that require no manipulation of the putter during the stroke. All you have to do is to let the putter swing naturally and it will stay square to the arc. No compensation for torque is needed. This can be problematic at first since we are used to manipulating each putter's torque in a different way. Sam recommends a "thumbs off" drill that really helps with this. Once you learn to just "let the putter swing," putting with a LAB putter is like cheating. Some call it "Magic." You still have to read the putts, of course, and hit the correct speed, but the LAB putter goes where you aim it. And that's half the battle.

@industrialpalletworx3548
@industrialpalletworx3548 Год назад
So. Using your definition of torque and how you demonstrated as such. Does that mean every golf clup has ridiculous amounts of torque? I think when defining torque using the same definition across the board would be helpful. The measurement of torque on a driver shaft is the rate of twist when a ball is struck. Correct me if I'm wrong on that. Using that definition how would LAB putters stack up against the other manufacturers? My guess is the other brands measure torque in this regard. Secondly your technology is great when demonstrated in your revealer. However, i want to see it measured in use against other brands in a putting lab where they can measure the torque. Toe hang putters aid in the clubface rotating with the natural rotation of your body

Really good questions and all things we're working hard to better understand. You should check out this video to see if it answers some of your questions: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tJ_0MrvSg9U.html Our stance on this generally is that if you can remove a variable from the putting stroke, how can that not help?
@industrialpalletworx3548
@industrialpalletworx3548 Год назад
@@labgolf No argument with the removal of variables. I couldn't agree more. I think your technology is a great outside of the box engineering. It's definitely removing a variable. Or could it be adding an additional variable? The golf swing is a circle in its most basic form. Every stroke is a small portion of it. With the lie angle balanced tech, would that hinder the proper rotation necessary to stay in line with the circle? Straight back straight through doesn't exist in putting. Everyone has an arc no matter how small. My statement is framed in a question based in my own thought pattern. I love the idea and think it potentially holds merit. However, I need to see more before I can make an accurate assessment.
@labgolf
@labgolf Год назад
Totally. We're glad to be having this chat. The cool thing about Lie Angle Balance that we want to make sure golfers understand is that it's actually a balance to the chosen Lie Angle so the putter face always wants to stay square to the arc. Lie Angle Balance encourages a putter face that is square to the path... not a straight-back, straight-through stroke. As you pointed out, a straight-back, straight-through stroke creates a lot more variables!
@BretDouglas
@BretDouglas Год назад
Actually, toe hang putters hinder the natural rotation of the clubface. A toe hang putter will try to close on the backstroke and open on the forward stroke. This requires compensation on the part of the golfer. The LAB putters require no such compensation to keep them square to the arc.
@openstenosis
@openstenosis Год назад
Doesn’t torque for a non putter club usually refer to the shaft? Its resistance to twisting at impact? For a putter “torque” happens with the head. New LAB rat here finally digging my DF after the discovery period!! Thx LAB!

So this means that the putter Tiger woods used to win so many majors, is garbage? Or Scotty Cameron that has won so many majors? Bettinardi that won the US OPEN last year? Mmmm OK if you say so MR.
@Agent-hq4uw
@Agent-hq4uw Год назад
I don’t think that’s what he’s saying. People can certainly learn to control the torque in their putters, especially athletically gifted touring pros. But that doesn’t mean that putting isn’t easier when you don’t have to worry about controlling the torque. Having used a LAB Link.1 for a while now, I can say, at least for a weekend golfer like myself, the LAB putter is much easier to start the ball rolling on line and, consequently, making more putts.

@onedrop9544
@onedrop9544 7 месяцев назад
@@Agent-hq4uw I dont' think the revealer shows torque though. Its showing gravity. and our grip is way stronger than gravity and I think the shafts are stronger than torque of the swing.
