question, . been having some issues loading rounds for a 40 s&w glock 23 with a kkm barrel for a while. im getting light primer strikes with no discharge at random intervals with reloaded rounds. the trigger even feels different (mushier) when pulled at the time of attempting to fire one of these duds. so it leads me to think the gun is not in full battery to fire correctly. looking at the gun though, it even appears each time to be in full battery(slide in correct position) when experiencing a dud. I switch back to stock factory rounds and it works %100 all the way . so it has to be some of my reloads. so..i bought the gauge to see what was going on and did some loads and did some checking. I found I have a have a few .40 s&w loads with the head above case gauge. one case where the extractor grove doesn't even make it down. i've even ran them through the mag and cycled them manually in the gun and each time it appears like the gun is chambered. I've even taken the barrel out and seated them in the chamber manually and they appear no different then stock off the store shelve rounds. but I know this gauge is really showing me what is going on. obviously the select rounds have some issues. i'm just having trouble trying to decipher what the gauge is telling me. I've measured every thing I can on the reloads and it all comes with in tolerances with calipers. bullet diameter as well. im lost at this point. loads have even gone through lees bulge buster to get rid of the base bulge. twice......once after decapping and sizing and once after final seat of bullet. measurements with dial fallows: 180gn berrys flat point total length with seated bullet..avg around 1.120-1.125 diameter of mouth and head avg .421-.423 diameter of bullet .398 -.400 case length after bullet seated .835-.840 these measurements in some cases are even smaller than the stores rounds that I measured or equal to. so other than to try switching from cci to federal primers because I heard that the primers are softer, am I suffering from some reloads not being concentric and having hand shaking issues wth a match barrel from kkm?. can you explain bullet concentricity a little better. is that fixable or is that considered defective and to be discarded. if that is the case. is there a way to check for it before going through the whole loading process.?

To answer lamenterms007's question. Please give us a call. If you can send in your cases and the Gage we can figure out what is going on with your rounds. These issues are typical with 40 Cal Glocks. It does sound like a concentricity issue, but it could be something else. I really cannot tell unless I have it in front of me. We do not charge for this service. Concentricity has to do with your bullet being in line with your case body. Most shooters refer to this as "bullet wobble". And yes this can have a major impact on your loaded rounds.
