So we're finally halfway through this project, today's the day when we clean fuel injectors 5-8, give them a good refresh and we unbox a new product to help us doing this! There was a lot of dirt in there...

Great series of videos. Very helpful Thank You both. I have an oil leak that seems to be running from the upper rear of engine, down and off the gearbox sump. Rocker gaskets or Oil cooler gasket maybe. Either way your video will be very useful Thank You. I replaced seized turbo on left bank a week or so ago which was a fun job also!

@Life As Usual The turbo was OK, fiddly more than difficult. I did not remove engine. I supported the engine on a jack, disconnected the suspension arms, driveshafts etc, then lowered the subframe with another jack. Then I removed left hand engine mount bracket which gave access to turbo and associated pipework. Cleaned the intake pipes, intercooler and exhaust a little. Then reassembled. Changed oil and filters. VERY smokey for the first 20 minutes driving. Now it is good.

With the injectors out, I would have had them tested. Typical cost is £25 per injector.

Hi Ian, yes, I could've done that and more, but the main priority at the time was to fix the oil leak and then reassemble everything ahead of the MOT, as we were quite pressured for time. 👍🏻

You can do it!👍 Just be patient when taking the injectors out. Usually, a fuel injector pully is recommended to avoid any damage, but if they are not bad, which mine weren't, you can easily take them out gently, as I show in the videos.
