I installed the wehrli plug yesterday and saw significantly lower temps today. Are you still pleased with yours? Any issues getting trans up to temp in order to be able to check fluid level?
I just had to replace the auxilary lines and they came with new thermostat. I swapped the bypass plug over before i installed them. It takes a while longer to come up to temp.
yes iam haveing my tranny cooler changed this week on my 17 . Also ordered the by pass and getting them to cut the metal frame a bit from the lines. Your vids have help so much. i pull a 42 montana .
Got a bad coolant sensor in S Texas right before Christmas so I went to O’reillys and changed it out before entering old Mexico but now In Corpus I get a check engine light is on so 2 thermostats Need replacement but I didn’t know of transmission one good I saw your vid!
Nice video buddy! I like how detailed you get and even though it slowed you down making that mistake with the snap ring, you show the solution for those clumsy people like myself! 👍💯
Thank you! That means a lot. Most videos i watch things go super smooth but in reality a lot of times it doesn't go that way...i try to show all i can , lol
I have looked into it. So many miles on rotella i hate to change. Would be more worried about oil leaks than anything. If i didn't already have so many miles i would give it a shot
Maybe I missed you comment on this topic what when it is winter and you are not hauling a load. with the thermostst delete wont the trans fluid be to cool then ??
It's the autosync broom bt Dieselworks. There's a link in the description near the bottom.i love the autosync but i am thinking of getting a cts3 for alerts on temps
I definitely will rewatch this when I am ready to install the bypass plug. I am going to put painters tape over the ring, so it will help hold the ring from slipping off
Man this is right on time I ordered mine from there also should be in today I watched a couple videos on this as well I seen people put rags down there so if the clip goes maybe it catches it glad to see it really works thanks again for the injector video 👍
I think you'll like it. I'm driving on 40 today, 80mph empty for an hour trans temp is 129 before it would be at least 165.i wonder how it's going to do in cold weather. Might have to get a weather front to cover up the cooler in the bumper
Thanks for taking the time to show the removal and replacement of the Thermostat plug. Would you consider replacing the plug with the original on the winter time to allow the tranny fluid to get up to a good operating temp? Thanks again
sorry, ment to say (Would you consider replacing the plug with the original one in the winter time to allow the tranny fluid to get up to a good operating temp?) Thanks again
Possibly, or maby a weather front to cover it up. I've driven from kingman, az to Amarillo, tx today... rainy and 70 degrees out and the transmission temp stayed around 125. Not sure how that'll work in really cold weather but that'll definitely be another video when it turns cold
Hey bud, I've got the same truck as you just a 3500. I was wondering how did you get the information about the transmission and oil temp to come up on the radio screen?
It's a device called autosync from BT Dieselworks. It has gauges, strobes, work lights on in drive and all kinds of other added functionally also gets rid of speed limiter. If you might be interested in learning more about it there is a link in the description and also a Facebook page titled autosync discussion group. I'm not affiliated, just a happy customer
