Because he fumbles costantly if ain’t promos it in ring work , his only got catch phrases but promo cuts aren’t anything to look back and re watch not like the rock, austin, miz, Dominic, Cody, punk or Orton
@@urielcalderon9639never put Dominic in this category YEAH he messed up once in a promo against arguably the best on the mic currently. Cm punk is mid he says the same shit every time he comes out. And cm punk don’t deserve to be listed with the greats either. YEAH
It will always make you better at your job and that's cool, but I genuinely feel like he's being way too hard on himself. He stuttered and hates it. That's too brutal on yourself to me. Also the stutter makes it seem genuinely emotional anyway and miz didn't even skip a beat cuz he's a boss at giving the company what it wants to see smoothly and efficiently.
I remember thinking in that Smackdown promo that Miz had out talked Kniggt, not that he was bad, but he looked to be on the defensive and Miz was firing on all cylinders
I like that he said he doesn't plan his promos, he reacts to how the crowd receives it and if it requires an improv moment then he'll do it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I can see he's very critical especially when it's against another great talker. Kudos to LA Knight for wanting to stay on top of his game on and off the mic
He’s not wrong, though. Miz brought it. As much of an LA Knight fan as I am, I’d have to say those promos are the reason Miz got over with the fans again recently.
I think personally the biggest reason is definitely the beef with Gunther. When you see the rivalry between the two, almost everyone goes "yup, I hope Miz shuts him up"
He's been tightening everything up lately, not missing as many spots and being in the moment a little bit more. Hopefully he'll put up some good spots at the RR.
We are always our own worst critics. I really really enjoyed you and the miz semi scripted back and forth. You are both exceedingly good talkers. Don't be so hard on yourself man. Plus it's like you said, it's a heavily produced product. You gotta stay on that cue sheet and all
Go check that promo. It certainly wasnt like that where Reigns couldn't say shit because he was garbage on the mic at the time & Cena did not hesitate to diss that. LA Knight got mic skills. In fact, he AND Miz made a small slip-up in their promos to each other, but things were equal. Unlike Cena & Reigns back when Reigns still had his Shield look & theme.
Miz often stutters and gets lines wrong, it doesn’t ruin a promo, if anything it makes it more believable because they’re hyped and the adrenaline’s running. don’t believe, the best promo of the modern era imo is Miz’s on talking smack, in that promo he calls himself the intercontinental title 😂
This is why they shouldn't script promos for certain people. Really they shouldn't script promos at all. If you aren't capable of cutting a promo at the WWE level you shouldn't be there or at the very least you should have a manager. It's okay to give someone bullet points as to what you want to be said, but when you make guys like this memorize something that is written by Hollywood writers it doesn't feel authentic most of the time. And it doesn't allow for much improvisation. Which is critical in professional wrestling. I think scripting every word of a promo for some of these guys really holds them back. If that had happened Stone Cold Steve Austin would have never said Austin 3:16 says I Just whipped your ass. So many legendary promos wouldn't have happened. You got to let these guys be themselves cuz when they are reading someone else's words a lot of times it doesn't sound good at all
I agree because without a lot of those unscripted moments. Their merch wouldn’t sell as much as it has. Because those unscripted moments generated merch ideas
Ironically that is someone’s best work majority of the time. I hear so many interviews where rockstars will admit that the song that made them a superstar is on the lesser favorite side of their work
Miz was 100% on point that night. I honestly thought if he doesn't dial it back a bit he is going to bury L.A Knights character. Knight has some more work to do but he is still good and entertaining for sure. Miz has already reached legendary status in my opinion and has the ability to help catapult Knight beyond what he has already accomplished.
Mix is SO underrated and wwe has really screwed him. Turned him into a jobber. He’s the best talker in the mic. Was best when he had the title. Being paid for his misery. Shameful
I’d honestly rather do a promo on the spot sink or swim style because trying to memorise somtimes a 10 minute promo back and forth on live tv would be hard as fuck Why not just do it on the spot but bullet point main things you want to say?
Yeah he flubbed and stuttered but he self-awareness constantly striving for improvement in the big moments and that is the mark of are truly talented performer. Can't wait until he's in the shoes of a champion
I actually agree with LA Knight that it wasn’t his best. Which hearing him explain why that might be, makes total sense. I felt a little disconnect from him and what he was saying, in that promo. Sounds like he tried a different method of finding the words he was gonna say and it didn’t work out the best. Which is fair and I appreciate that even after years and years in this business he’s still trying to find new ways to do it better. 🙌
it's almost like he can't cut a promo and just drops catchphrases and unfunny one liners can't even compare him to The Rock at least that dude had talent
Dont watch wrestling anymore but this bloke is am absolute rip of the Rock and Austin with non of the charisma. Not surpirsed hes nearly 40 and never been the guy.
