I have a La Toja stick and was surprised by how much I liked the smell and skin feel. It's not artisanal quality but, for a mass-market soap, it's quite good. The stick is especially great for face lathering and the cream looks nice as well. Thanks for the lather test. Have a good week!
The only cream I have used is Proraso, and I would use a lot more cream than that, but holy moly that lather is super duper! It looks real creamy and certainly looks like it would get the job done. I may have to consider La Toja once I run out Proraso. Have a great one, Tim!
Thanks for the video Tim. I've never asked anyone a question I've had for years. Is almond size mean in the shell or out of the shell ? I have La Toja cream and stick and aftershave splash. I like all three. I also enjoy owning the T3 brush. It's a great buy in my opinion. All the best.
I had La Toja last year and wasn’t fond of the scent. It smelled like a cigarette to me. My nose isn’t the best though so I could be way off. Your lather looked slick Rick. Great job, Tim!
Hi Tim, in a future video would you be able to do a lather tutorial with a boar and badger brush? My lather tends to dissipate and I read it may be do to over soaking the brush. Tried soaking my boar for 2 minutes instead of 5-10 and got improved results
Hey, I definitely will do future lather tests with boar/badger. I also have the same experience of lather dissipating so I just load heavy with them all the time. Sometimes, I just accept the fact and shave with thinner lather.
